What do you think about the reports of the SEC behind the scene push to bring TAMU into the league? I know Brother Gene is on the TAMU BOT and would very much like to see it happen....

Thoughts and Opinion ?

The SEC should remain as it is, in my opinion. It's the best conference in the league, far and away. If it's not broke, don't fix it.

Hsv... I like the SEC the way it is now as well but we all know that teh only "constant" is change... Bringing TAMU into the SEC along with a VA TECH, UNC, and possibly Miami will expand the TV market thus more revenue, the driving force behind all of this in the first place...

Besides the infrastructure is in place at aTm for the Aggies to assert themselves in-state once they tap into the SEC's honeypot...

possibly Miami

Miami brings nothing except an pathetic fan base, a TV market that doesn't give a rats behind about them, a budget in shambles and an old NFL stadium. If you have ever watched one of their games on TV they never show the upper decks. Do you know why?

plus i feel like we are a fraternity and have earned our spot in conference supremacy and i dont like the idea of these other teams just coming in when we are at our highest point

I'm fine with it. Do not want Texas though.

maybe I should expand the discussion to include the REC members, no actual affiliation required...

I would like to see A&M and Florida St added and stop right there.

Anything else would be too many teams and too many scheduling headaches.

I don't want Texas anywhere near the SEC and most of the West SEC teams should probably feel the same way.

I wanted A&M when we originally expanded....I was very disappointed in the Arkansas selection, although they turned into an enjoyable matchup in basketball and football.

EDIT: I don't want the conference to change unless there is an implosion in the Big 12 or ACC. This is an odd qualifier, but I would only add programs from states that were in the Confederacy...this is the Southeastern Conference, teams should represent that geographical area.
