Impressive
5 - Teams ranked in the top 25
29 - Rivals150 prospects coming to the SEC
6 - Five-star prospects coming to the SEC
14 - Four-star prospects coming to the SEC
9 - Ranked three-star prospects coming to the SEC
4 - Ranked recruits from Florida coming to the SEC, the most of any state
16 - States represented by SEC recruits in the Rivals150
There is some fantastic talent coming into the Conference. Other than the obvious coming to us, I am excited to see 1) Patric Young, who is a fricking animal - thug , and 2) Tobias Harris.

22nd overrall. Give Horn time and SC will be rolling.

On paper a rough effort from Pelphrey when he needs to be getting things going.
Alabama fans made it out like we had the worst class in the conference. Grant can do better (we already have two top 100 four stars for the 2011 class) but it wasn't a horrible class.

Maybe if he coached in the western division
UK, UT, and UF's classes stand out the most.
UGA will be solid this year, but only for this year if Fox can't get the recruiting ball rolling.

Maybe Stansbury should have taken the Clemson job.

We signed a juco guy for this year and might be signing the UTEP transfer that will be a first rounder after a year. We were planning on being last. Next year will be different. 2011's class has a huge commit already and Moultrie from Utep will be considered in that class also.

Moultrie isn't going to State.

I actually thought we had a pretty solid class this year considering the circumstances. Really surprised we were ranked 11th actually. I don't look for recruiting to be a problem under Fox.

6)Alabama
8)Auburn
That's impossible.. According to the Birmingham News, Tony Barbiee has been killing it on the recruiting trail.

I wonder if those rankings are skewed by the fact that 2 haven't signed yet. Even though we don't have the huge star power, we got what we needed, including a guy that everyone wanted in Thornton. Also, even though it's not recruiting, we got a transfer who is eligible this year who is basically like getting an incoming 4*. The future for our program looks very, very bright.

FWIW MSU will be second to Kentucky in 2011 we have five available scholarships to give and already have a commitment from 4* PG Deville Smith and are on the verge of comitment number two in 4* SG Leantwain Luckett. We also are in the mix for 5* Johnny o'bryant who has us in his top 3 with Kentucky and Ole Miss
ETA: Tennessee Jed you must have not been reading much about Arnett Moultrie lately. He was set to enroll at Mississippi state Monday until his advisor convinced him to visit other schools. Read Gary Parrish's blog he thinks we are the leader for Moultrie.

Don't think so. We still haven't officially signed one of our four stars and if that was the case we wouldn't be at 6.

Teague and Gilchrist already for UK in 2011 is setting up as an historic class

I thought Bama fans only cared about football?

Will they? Who will be third?
FWIW MSU may be on the verge of two four stars but we already have two four stars, one of them is the 32nd ranked player in the country. And we'll have 5 scholarships to give out too.
If you get O'Bryant that will definitely be a good class but if Cal wants him that's problematic for you. Not to mention Tennessee will recruit well too.

Basketball and football are equals to me. There are a few of us.
Apparently we actually have a few baseball fans too, although I'm not sure that's anything to be proud of.

You would think that the # 8th RANKED All-TIME College Basketball Program could recruit better.... I'm just hoping that Mike Anderson is eventually hired. I have no faith in Pelphrey..

We could easily have more than 2 4*'s and a one and done transfer.
