Pearle has some deep pockets to pay recruits. The above is not shocking at all.

We do pay him well

LINK

This guy will light up the SEC if we can get him qualified. The only reason he's not a five star is because of his "character issues"

Too many great 2011 PG's - most big schools stayed away from that kid.

Actually John Isaac is committed to us for the 2011 class. Probably our only scholarship. But Justin Hamilton is transferring as well and will be ineligible for 2011 as well.

LSU is going to be as deep and talented as I can ever remember in 2011.

I won't worry about it, our program is in good hands right now compared to where it was.

we have two four stars and two 3 stars

I would guess that a difference would be one of our 3 stars is a top 150 guy.

Did Shaun Kemp Jr. ever qualify?

Yep but it had nothing to do with his talent level. He's been the mvp of just about every AAU tournament he's played in the last six months. And he completely out classed Joe Jackson everytime Melrose played White Station this year.

That's why I predicated it with ... If we can get him qualified.

Maybe Stansbury should have taken the Clemson job.

When you have all starters back except one and you already have Sidney enrolled, there ain't much reason to sign anyone. Ky had to replace all five starters, so it's easy for Ky to get 5 5 star's signed and play next year.

So, no, Stansbury shouldn't hsve tsken the Clems job......

They have two starters coming back unless Dee Bost somehow miraculously gets his eligibility back.

What's up with Georgia? They have a really good coach and a wealth of talent in Atlanta and no recruiting success? Why is that?

True for lots of Bama folk but some of us are waiting for a reason to be excited about basketball. Grant needs to get it done.

That sounds exactly like Selby from last year and we all know how that turned out. He decommits and becomes the #1 prospect.

I thought Auburn was doing way better than that. I don't know much of anything about basketball recruiting other than as a coach you better get to know the players summer league coach.

SEC is going to be a tough league I think sooner than later. I think the new guys are all doing good work (Horn, Johnson, Grant) and Barbee looks like he's bringing some excitement to Auburn. Fox had a decent recruiting class and a pretty surprising season compared to Georgia's last fe. Those 5 guys in the same league with Calipari, Donovan, Pearl, Stallings isn't bad. When Rick Stansbury and Andy Kennedy are 2 of the 3 or 4 worst coaches in the league, that says something. Pelphrey is obviously dead last. He's worse than fricking Stan Heath.
