KY will experience a drop off for next year- There are no John Wall's, Cousins, or a Patrick Patterson waiting to sign for 2010. There are good players left, but non that can compare to those three. In addition, KY will have a team of freshmen- without any upperclassmen.
How big is the drop off going to be, that is the question. Depends on who signs with KY.
Poole is a role player. Kanter is solid, but more like an Ogilvy his first year. He isn't Cousins.
Interesting to see KY's situation.

It's not like Cal did anything with Orton. I mean Orton literally showed nothing all year, but just like Pavel Podkolzine gets picked in the first round because of size, so will Orton.
Cousins, Bledsoe, and Wall all looked very legit though.
It seems like Quincy Miller is liking Kentucky a lot, but that confuses me. Why would he want to play on the same team as Gilchrist? They are both 3/4 hybrids, and they'd have to share the ball, most likely with a point guard as well. Top 5 recruits rarely do that voluntarily.
Keep in mind Bledsoe was around 75-80 before his big bump at the end of the year (a very smart decision by Rivals, fwiw).

This is the point to me. He has never won shite and is one of the biggest "Big Game" chokers in history!

quote:totally agree....UK will NEVER win a NC with this formula....there are two basic reasons why Calipari has never won the NC...1) the teams he recruits never has adequate time to gel to defeat older and more experienced teams in a "one and done" setting and 2) Calipari is just flat-out not that good of a game coach
if 'dip shite' couldn't win it all with the players he had last year, what makes the UK fans think he will with the new one's he buys ?
