When you saw takes care of training partners do you mean financially or that he practices safe technique and isn’t sloppy in sparring at all?

I respect either but curious which of the two you meant.
At this point, does Sorsby go back to trying for Texas Tech? I can’t imagine any other D-1 school would even consider him right now.

Texas Tech shouldn’t either but I was surprised how much they went all in on him the last few weeks.

Just a poor gambling addict who is seeking rehab and therapy, which he is definitely taking very seriously

Otherwise his only option is the CFL. I can’t imagine the NAIA is worth his time.

re: Soccer Hooligans?

The last hooligan activity I recall seeing at a high profile international event (World Cup or Euro) was Euro 2016 or the 2018 Russian World Cup. And the 2018 World Cup was really just Russian hooligans attacking confused British non-hooligans because the Russians thought this would be the way to show the Brits they were the top dogs.

Travel is just too expensive for these large international events.

Qatar, South Korea, Japan, South Africa, the US.
All very expensive to travel to and places with no hooligan culture.
I think you’re right.

And I think a two hour time zone difference really isn’t a big deal.
We’ve been wondering the same thing.

The first five (potential) games all being on the West Coast is a head scratcher.
I suspect your friend is either pretty young or new to basketball, if he thinks what the Pels did was unique in terms of their lineup.

But AD is clearly better than Sampson and I see no way that could be argued.

Cousins is much closer but when it comes to the NBA, Cousins> Sampson.

Sampson had 3 very good NBA seasons but many of his best years were in college (where he was a standout), and he was almost done by the time he was 26.
That’s the one I got as well
I think you are right

And part of the seeding order is based on the geographic locations of the teams and where they’ve played their previous games
I was in Cleveland 3 summers ago for four days ago. I liked it a lot but I also benefited from staying at a nice hotel right off the Case Western Reserve campus and being their in late May or early June with wonderful weather.

The downtown is easily accessible with the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame right by the stadiums. You can walk to the major sights.

Is the football team moving to the suburbs? I hope not. That would be terrible for the Downtown area and an inconvenience for many residents.

The simulators really love our chances to play a Group B team, either Bosnia or Qatar.

Then Ecuador or Senegal, followed by Algeria or Austria, assuming that a Group B side doesn’t go through.
I was at the game last night.

The rest is just an educated guess. I bet Almiron covered his mouth and called him a basic curse word but covered it out of instinct.

Calling a player a bitch or a motherfricker may get you a yellow card if the ref is having a bad day. Almiron already had a yellow card for his fake dive against Tim Ream last week and didn’t want to risk a yellow and a suspension by default for the final game.

The mouth covering rule is very new and this is the first tournament where it’s been in place, and I bet he had no idea he was risking a 10-20 percent chance of a yellow card versus a 100 percent chance of a red.

Around me none of the Turks were expecting a red card for Almiron. The few Paraguayans were even more confused.

I bet no one from FIFA thought the first red card for this would come from a South American player saying something to a white guy, but that’s the letter of the law
My friend says that if Bosnia gets third, we will get them. If they don’t, then it’s likely Algeria or Austria
3rd place between B, E, F, I, and J

How on earth is that determined?

I got 2nd place and 76 points

Striker was Andy Cole, Lampard and Le Tissier in central midfield, Joe Cole and Robbie Keane on the wings, Patrick Viera as my defensive midfielder. That was definitely the strength of the team.

Reminds me of the stadium that Oasis played in last year in Toronto.
Jefferson and Chase are both clear WR1’s (but fortunately not made of glass)
I got $180 for Germany vs Curacao in a decent section, right by a lot of Curacao fans.

The two boiler room guys from Wall Street Warriors are surely getting the last laugh.
He hasn’t been playing at all due to injury, I believe

They may have to bring him in in the second half, earlier than they wanted to in the tournament
