Please go tell that to VolNation. There is more support on here for him than there is there. Its ridiculous.

Most of them still have a soft spot for the drama and attention-seeking hollywood wannabe.

Not really... If I had to guess, I'd say about 25 percent of the fan base is in absolute shock that this is where we're at right now, and are counting down the days until he's gone. About half of us seem to dislike the hire but are ready to surrender the conference. About 25 percent seem to be confident in his ability.

That being said, if you asked that confident 25 percent about him before the hire was made, very few of them would have been excited about it at all.

I'm not thrilled about it. Can he do well? Maybe. But based on what we've seen so far, it's hard to support that. I like this hire more than guys like Muschamp or Cutcliffe. I'm not confident in Dooley's ability to do this job. I know those other two couldn't do it.

Poor Vols. It's karma for all the armed robberies of cheeseburgers and plunger raping.

He's 100 times the coach Lame Kitten is. Laney poo is a snake oil salesman.

EDIT: Oh and give the man some time...I really hope you guys do, but I understand the complete mindfrick all of this has been. He has been given a situation (not worse than, but) comparable to Forrest Gregg (SMU 1989, post DP). It's an overstatement, but...new QB, entire new OL, lack of quality depth in loads of places...

I'll support Dooley until he gives me a reason not to.

Seems like a genuinely good guy, I hope he can get it done. It's going to take a lot of time after the last couple Fulmer years and Kiffy frick up.

a 4 - 9 record with Louisiana Tech surely reams of great coaching ability and respect.

theres your answer

if dooley had miles talent at LSU, and miles had dooley's, I promise you it would have been more than a 8 point win last season.

dooley is the real deal.

The Vols are heading into another decade-long slide. 2020-2030 will be their next great decade.

stupid comment. you do know that recruiting is a part of being the head coach of a college football team, right? and...i get the difference b/w lsu and latech, so no need to go there

I like the hire. Dooley seems like a bright guy with some class. Too many fans want daily sound bites from coaches; I'd rather him be working on a plan for the upcoming season than mouthing off.

That would be about as productive as burning Neyland Stadium to the ground.

clearly you dont get how big the diff bt la tech and LSU is in recruiting. so you cant judge shite by his recruiting at latech bc who the frick would want to go to ruston as their first choice?

dooley is a better coach than miles plain and simple. If ut gives him a chance dooley will right the ship and be a pain in the arse for a long time to come for the sec.
