One Reason Why the SEC Tournament Sucks

We are watching a Vandy/Miss State game in front of 85% Kentucky Fans/15% Tennessee Fans. The SEC has got to fix this. Why not split the Semi Games into 2 different sessions? Especially when a home city team is in the tournament. The extra game would be sold out and that many more tickets sold.

Sounds like Vandy's fan base is the problem.

In what ways is your post a political thread?

he wants the SEC to step in, that idea carries ideological implications, i suppose. you could say the same thing with the alabama gripe on many teams taking their bye before playing them, and the SEC front office taking action.

might have been what he was getting at?

Vandy fan support of their basketball program is excellent. It's just Kentucky Fans will pay the highest price for the tickets. I would never pay $1,000 a ticket for lower blow tickets for just one game that is not even the championship game.

The tourney is in Nashville, the home of Vandy. If Vandy people wanted tickets, they could easily get them.

Is this your anti-capitalist rant of the day? That it is so unfair that UK fans pay more for tickets? They care more about basketball, dude. Just like LSU fans at the CWS.

If they wanted to watch the game, they would have bought the tickets.

The real reason it sucks is because it is unnecessary.

I like that they are doing it outside of Atlanta. The problem with the tourney is the seeding with the division 1 and 2s getting byes instead of seeding then in total standings.

They should never have it in Nashville. It should alternate between Atlanta and New Orleans.

Funny, TenTex failed to inform you guys that even in Memorial, UK fans find a way to get in and watch the Cats against his Vandy team...errr, he is a LSU fan.

Would not surprise me one bit, a lot of Vandy fans sold their SEC Tourney tickets to the UK fans in Nashville.

Oh TenTex...you suck as a LSU fan....

You're a poser Vandy fan

You're a liberal loon...

And

We did. And sold them to UK fans. Most Vandy fans (certainly those of us who actually attended the university and paid attention in econ class) understand and react to market forces (supply and demand).

Were you there? There were way way more State and Vanderbilt fans than Tennessee fans for our game. You do realize what you just said by saying 85% UK and 15% UT?

I'm happy to hear that, I was not there but on TV it looked more like what I indicated. Then during the State/Vandy game you could see more of the State and Vandy Fans.

And to WildkittyMike, Vandy Fans make plenty of money off Kentucky Fans. It's just a game.

OP make a good point. How's going to spend the money to travel to a conf tourney when your team could easily be one-n-done.
