Climate change is fake. NGOs used falisfied data to get money from the U.N. and other 'world govt' entities because it would take global law to make everyone switch to windmills. I don't know if he's responsible, but in the last 10 years when I call a plumber, electrician or appliance repair place a 20-25 y.o. guy shows up and does a good job. More guys like that are skipping college.

Those are not liberal arts degrees. They are specific majors you can get a degree in. L.A. means taking core subjects that have nothing to do with your major in order to have a well rounded education.
I read a lot about college designs of the 1800s. It was totally different from today. You entered college around age 16 and graduated in 2 years or you were a moron. You had classes sunrise to sunset 6 days a week with church on Sunday. You did papers at night by candelight. Everyone took Latin classes and some took Greek. At 19 it was time to find a job so you could marry around age 21. You didn't meet any girls in college. They weren't allowed.

The mix I liked is a form of forced double major. Centenary required a liberal arts degree plus a major in a specific subject. So, I took subjects for the liberal arts like History of Ancient Religion, Geology and Great Women in Literature. The religion class was fascinating. Geology was boring. Same here. Genghis Khan killed tons of people. But Mongolia has a nice statue of him and nobody is trying to get rid of it.
When I went to college back in the stoneage the professors welcomed the discussion if you disagreed with one of their lecture points. But graduates younger than me have told me that if you disagreed with a leftist prof he will be too stupid to defeat your logic but he'll give you a present. A lower grade at end of semester. So the students just kept their mouth shut.

Of the 20 best black co-workers I've encounered in my working life I'd say that 15 were black males. As a retired codger I'd say that when I need help as a consumer the black males are smarter and faster at solving problems than the black females.

It's WOMP. Goes back to 1960. It came up in some of my HS debates as a counter-plan. It got crushed because it was stupid. Never thought it would come back. But it has...big time. They just don't use the name World Order Model Project anymore.

But there was no welfare in the USSR. If you didn't work you starved to death. That motivated everyone to work. So it was a strong argument for the Russians that their system was superior. The Americans couldn't defend our welfare system because they knew it encouraged people to not work.
Our old system in America was to rely on friends, relatives and the church to help those in need. As soon as govt takes over it's going to be abused.

There as some degrees offered these days that didn't exist when I was in college. Stuff like a degree in 'Social Work'. If there's not a job demand out there for some of these degrees then they can't repay the loan.
