Do you want your rival to be good only if your team is also doing well?

Several years ago, I posted these questions on some college boards (MSU, UM, Auburn, Alabama, Ohio State, and Michigan) and the answers were interesting.

I want MSU to be good. I also hope we one day see world peace, an end to hunger, and no cable news networks... Nothing I want ever happens...

I don't reall mind what Ole Miss does the rest of the season but it makes the matchups more interesting when both teams are playing well.

Always lose. I never want them to be good. Ever.

Always lose. It's just business.

Lose. Though it does make the games more exciting when both teams are good.

Good so long that we beat them. It's good for the state and good for rankings.

Good. If they always lost it wouldn't be much of a rivalry.

I'd like my rival to be good at losing.

I like for my in state rival (Miss State) to be mediocre.

I want LSU to be good, so when we beat them it counts for something.

AU-lways lose...

Because when they're winning (even if you beat them), you NEVER HEAR THE FREAKING END OF IT! And amazingly, they're still somehow the better team.

I've always heard that Arkansas held the "Battle of the Boot" as a rivalry game. I know that most LSU fans feel that it is too forced, but the series has produced some intense games.

LSU fans like to think that they are too good to have a rival. Weird...
