I can't believe this failure of a thread was started by sorantable. I consider myself a very humble Bama fan, and Ingram would start anywhere in college football.

Ranks right up there with the "Mallett is the best QB" thread.

I will say this 1 last time, for some reason people believe SEC is best conference at everything.

Pac-10 had better rushing defenses
They also had more running backs with 1000 or more yards, more running backs with 750-1000+ yards, and they rushed just as much as SEC for the most part. I believe the difference was about 5 rushes a game when you compare the 2 conference. We had this debate when Heisman was around.
Yes Ingram is a great back and he was just as deserving as Gerhart, but Gerhart had less to work with.

This whole post is total bullshite.

The PAC-10 had better rushing defenses because they were playing PAC-10 teams. They had more 1,000 yard running backs because they weren't playing SEC defenses. The defenses Gerhart faced were not the best in the country... sorry.

Texas was supposed to be the #1 rush defense in the country when we faced them. Our running game destroyed them.

How many Championships does the SEC have IN A ROW?

Apples and spoiled oranges dude. Your post fails, badly.

Very few teams can use a guy with good size, good speed, great balance, a fantastic ability to make people miss, and is incredible after contact.

Don't you know anything?

Although him playing for National Champion should have no bearing or I could make the claim of Ronnie Prude, Demetrius Hookfin being the best corner backs in college football, why? because they played on a national championship team.

This is like a TenTex thread FWIW. And you are usually better than that.

Well, he's a really good receiver out of the backfield too. So, yeah his chances are pretty slim for him to start anywhere.

Again I ask, who said he would not start anywhere else? The OP only asked if there were places he would not start in College Football.

I find no fault in your thread, I do not know why the Bama fans are not making it out like you started a thread claiming Ingram could not start for any other team in country.
