All the locals at the bars in Pasadena knew who he was. His acceptance speech really won a lot of people over imo.

So Mark Ingram wouldn't start for Stanford even though they are losing Toby Gerhart to the NFL draft? You are either a moron or a very bad homer.

NM tired of trying to make people who refuse to read and deduct reasoning for themselves understand.

This whole thread could have been avoided by the OP saying "is there another back in the country who would have started ahead of Mark Ingram at Bama?"
answer...no....end thread:/

What? Who said Ingram wouldn't start over Gerhart's backup?

There are at least 4 P10 teams, USuCk, Stanford, OSU, & UO that he wouldn't start for. He wouldn't start ahead of Noel Devine @ WVU. He wouldn't start ahead of Demarco Murray @ ZeroU. There are probably other examples as well.

But then this thread wouldn't be this thread and would instead be another thread kissing Ingram's arse like Bama fans enjoy. I never said Ingram wasn't Bama's best running back. Where are you guys getting this info?

Well as mentioned several times in thread, it depends on the system a team runs. Ingram was the perfect back for Bama and he would be for many many more teams in the country, just not all of them.

I didn't see where he was talking about next year.

Ok but yall are asking if he could start of oregon,Stanford or several other schools so ask if there back could start for Bama. Just because he don't fit those offenses don't mean he is not the best back in the nation.

Who is the troll? For some reason it has been the Alabama fans who can not understand this concept.

Exxactly. Would Ron Dayne have excelled in a spread offense? How would Reggie Bush have done in a bama power style attack? You could go on and on asking these type questions about backs and their respective systems. Players are asked to do different things in each offense and you begin to split hairs when you try and plug guys into different systems.
Ingram is the type back Bama's run game is built around (see: Terry Grant disappearance) and I'd have to say, judging by the hardware he brought home this year, he's a damn good one.
