How do you think he would do as a coach in the SEC? His win last night puts him in the top of wins by a coach in the nineties. Why is he still at BSU? I am putting it here becasue I think LSU should be looking at him if the future gets any more bleak.

His team plays crisp. I like that.
If your team is prepared & plays crisp and gets beat, so be it.
I'd take prepared gameplan and crisp play.

That is a crisp answer. I have been able to watch his teams over the years and must admit, they are always well prepared. Just talking...

Hire him stat...his record is almost identical to Urban Meyer when he was at Utah.

not sure, the concern i would have is how hawkins is doing at colorado.

The Colorado situation is strange to me as well. Les doesn't have a son QB does he? Can you imagine the Rant if Miles was under center as well as on the sidelines?

I'd take either of those guys, Patterson or Peterson. Throughout the year their teams played well. I can count on two fingers the games LSU played well, and one was aginst Tulane.

If his scheme goes up against SEC teams week end and week out it wouldn't look so crisp. There is less room for error in the SEC. Not saying he wouldn't be a pretty good coach in the SEC but how many crisp games have you seen in the SEC this year? Bama could have lost 3 games and maybe should have lost at least two. It's a whole new world.

but, but....LSU has the want to be crisp...

When Hawkins left for Colorado, a guy very close to the Boise State program told me that their program wouldn't drop off a bit because Peterson was the "brains" of the coaching staff. Under Peterson the program has taken a step forward. I really thought that TCU would win easily last night, but BSU was more disciplined - TCU has more NFL talent.

Although it is the WAC, I will take him.
2006 Boise State 13–0 8–0 1st W Fiesta † 6 5
2007 Boise State 10–3 7–1 2nd L Hawaiʻi – –
2008 Boise State 12–1 8–0 1st L Poinsettia 13 11
2009 Boise State 14–0 8–0 1st W Fiesta †
Only losses are to TCU last year in the Poinsettia Bowl 17-16 and in 07 they lost at Washington, at Hawaii, when they were undefeated and to East Carolina in the Hawaii Bowl. East Carolina was 8-5 and Washington was 4-9. Washington loss looks bad, but for one bad loss in four years, not too shabby.

I know VA Tech isn't the SEC, but if they go to DC and beat Tyrod and Ryan Williams and the other back they have, then I will be sold for sure. VA Tech always has a good D. I know we beat the shite out of them, but that was the best game we played in a long time and also VA Tech was coming off of the school shooting, so I am sure that had something to do with it as well.

Until he loses two games then you idiots would be out for his scalp too.

His "crispness" would'nt hold up in the SEC? I believe that's what alot of Power-I die hards said about Urban Meyer. Maybe with Petersons' schemes LSU would finally have a way to get all of their weapons on the field....at the same time.

His team did not look too good against La Tech.

This
It's proven to be quite obvious that Petersen was the "Brains" behind Boise State's success under Hawkins. I watched and bet a few Colorado games this year and thought that program should be further along in his 4th year especially playing in a weaker North division in the Big 12.
I would love to see Petersen at LSU. I'd paid $100 to the contribution fund to make that happen.

I like the analogy that someone earlier made with Meyer and Utah. Peterson's offensive creativity and timing for play calling is impeccable... see the 2007 the Statue of Liberty play against Oklahoma and the fake punt last night. His defenses of late have been pretty good too. Boise State was a much better defensive team this year.
btw... It is Chris Petersen not Peterson.

This without a doubt.
Can you imagine what a guy as sharp as Peterson could do with LSU type talent?
