Question for Auburn fans about Cam Newton

IS Cam Newton visiting Auburn this weekend or not????? Rivals says YES Scout says NO.
This whole Cam Newton mess has been Crazy for us Mississippi State fans. He is the first 5* QB we have EVER had a decent shot of landing.
If he goes to visit Auburn Im gonna start to worry some b/c its closer to his home in Atlanta. I just dont know why Chizik and Malzahn would be willing to throw every single QB on their roster (all 5 of them) under the Bus for Newton. FWIW Mississippi State only had 2 QBs on Scholarship Relf and RS Fr. Tyler Russell

Auburn fans are saying he isnt visiting and the Coaches didn't/Haven't set up an official visit or offered him, but Newton's Dad says that Cam IS visiting Auburn this weekend.
SO go figure. He also still claims that Mississippi State has a slight edge over the other schools and that he will make a decision on the 22nd.

I don't know if he is or not, but I'd rather he not. We have plenty of kids that will be fighting for the QB spot next fall already.

Well I guess we are going after him because Tyrik Rollison may not be working out. Who knows? This is an official visit so there's something to it. I believe Malzahn likes this kid and plus we have one spot left for the early signing period.

If we ARE having him on an official and IF he gets an offer then that would show that the QB's we have are not really up to Malzahn's standards? I'm not sure.

Seems dumb. He needs to go play for Mullen... but I can understand his hesitance to play behind a shite MSU offensive line.

I say bring him on over... I also think we maybe setting ourselves up due to the possibility of a "couple" QB transfers... those guys currently in the system that do not fit our new scheme...

This morning's Atlanta paper has him visiting AU this weekend per his father. Don't know why the mixed messages on the recruting sites. Guess we just wait and see.

I don't know...I hear he is really fond of Mullen...dating back to when Mullen recruited him to UF...I think he is MSU's to lose...

the same O line that didnt score at TD on LSU on 4 straight tries from the 1/2 yd line .... Man you guys let me down on that one !!!

Same article was in the Jackson, MS newspaper today. From what I am hearing it seems that his Dad is in charge of his recruiting process as Cam's Psuedo-Pimp looking for the Best place Cam can go so that he cam make it to the NFL to make Cam AND DADDY RICH.

It was actually only 3 plays from the 1/2 yd line and one of the plays was a pass that Chad Jones made a phenominal play on to bat down.
If it does come down to Auburn and Oklahoma I hope yall get Newton. I was feeling good after his visit to Oklahoma (due to them having a returing starting QB) but yall's have a wide open QB spot. Just cant figure out that Malzahn doesnt like any of the 5 guys yall have in there.

I just don't think Newton will be in AU come next Fall.... and just b/c he may visit doesn't mean he'll get an offer.
It could very well be an indictment of our current QB situation... Rollison is definitely a question mark for next season.
