Ahmad Black also is considered small by NFL (and college) standards, but Bruce Black said it may be time for his son to move on. It sounds like this is a decision being made by the senior Black.
“I would let Ahmad stay if they would show him some respect,” Bruce Black said. “I don’t think coach Urban Meyer respects my son. If he did, Ahmad would have started the first game (against Charleston Southern) instead of (sophomore) Will Hill. Coach Meyer favors certain players, and Ahmad isn’t one of them.

A natural human bias, don't you think all coaches favor some guys at some point? Good post though, I wanted to hear about UF guys leaving for the NFL.

My first thought, and who the hell is Bruce Black? does he fancy himself the Gatornaughts' unofficial agent or something? This isn't high school anymore where I'm sure he yelled and screamed "put my son in coach" from the stands every game.
Bottom Line: he wants his son to go pro so he can make money, not because he thinks his kid is ready.

But to be fair, Ahmad is also very good. His dad just needs to learn that his little baby isn't necessarily the best player on the team anymore. And you better believe it's like that in the NFL. Is he going to call out Belicheck or Sparano because they aren't letting his son play safety?
