for Bama fans to now be proud of our team. Because we have been told time and time again that we were irrelevant, hadn't won any trophies - just games, and have sucked for most of your lifetimes, and would choke by the end the season. So with our latest SEC Championship, I just want to make sure we are finally allowed to be proud? Or do we have to wait to win the BCSNC first?

be proud, just don't make threads about how proud

Yes, go suck Stabler's dick

Yeah, I'm glad the "no hardware" bullshite can't be brought up anymore.

No one has a problem with 'proud'. It's the condescending arrogance like this thread that people hate. That should stay on your bammer sites.

Yes, be proud of how well your played against Florida last night (yall looked unbeatable) for the first time this year. Now finish the job for the SEC and make us all proud to be SEC Fans.]

You obviously misunderstood the original post. This thread is simply a response to all the crap Bama fans have taken even when we win. All offseason we've been told that Bama's 12 wins last year meant nothing cuz we didn't win any "hardware". I don't think there was any condescention or arrogance in the OP.

Most bama posters would agree with you. Other posters on the Rant, maybe not. Just my opinion. You should be proud. Just remember, a lot of posters didn't say that crap about bama and have been giving props all year. There's a difference between pride and gloating. Some, not all, bama posters don't see this.

First of all, I am not gloating, merely asking a question for the purpose of clarity. You have to admit that many, if not all Bama critics have repeatedly claimed that we were worthless and irrelevant, that our winning didn't matter in the great big realm of things unless we won a championship. I don't know if you were one of them or not, but I would like to hear from those critics. Is this win enough for Bama fans to have a sense of accomplishment about this team? I highly doubt that the Bama haters are on here giving us any credit. They are probably the ones telling people to suck dicks. Ever classy, as usual.

Being proud is expected and certainly justified. Just please don't be your normal arrogance assholes with noses in the air at the rest of the SEC. Most bama fans believe that they are the SEC and refuse to give credit to any of the other proud institutions with great football traditions. We have both obnoxious and arrogance in the SEC and I will take obnoxious over arrogance any day.

What has been your stance on Auburn over the last couple of decades especially during a good portion of Tubberville's time at Auburn? Did you belitte their accomplishments?
I think most opposing fans get tired of Bama acting like they been head and shoulders above the rest since the beginning of time. As long as Bama accepts they are just proud to be one of the guys then most people would be cool with it. I am talking about mainly the other top 5 programs of UF, LSU, UGA, AU, and UT.

The time to celebrate is when the job is done.
Is the job done...? Sure enjoy this win, but remember there is a hell of a lot more work to be done. No point in acting like this win is the greatest thing in the history of Alabama football. We need to make sure that everyone including the team knows that the season is not over, there is still one more game to be played. When everything that the players worked for is still up for grabs, you need them to keep that edge. That starts with the players, coaches and fans.

I'm also mature enough to know that when they win, great. When they lose, too bad. It doesn't change my life at all either way. And it's the same everywhere. I can assure you there will be just as many hillbillies beating their wives in Bama today as there were yesterday.
