It was posted on the Tiger Rant a few days back, and I wanted to get your objective opinion (if at all possible) on which fanbase is generally worse: LSU's or Alabama's. I pretty much agree with what the OP had to say. In 2007 and 2008, I think y'all took the cake. Most Bama fans I talked to were completely delusional and crossed the line from confident to arrogant. In 2009, however, I think we have become more extreme, but its the polar opposite extreme. Even your typical moderate old fan is calling out Miles, saying things need to change immediately on offense and game management or we will be second fiddle in the West indefinitely, recruiting is going to nosedive, etc. Bama fans are overconfident imo still, but going 12-0, you have a reason to be. On the LSU side, I don't think 9-3 is something to commit mass suicide over.

Bama fans = Lsu fans. Once you get used to winning consistantly, you expect it all the time, even after a long lull.

This, and I don't think there is anything wrong with expecting to win.

I think the difference is BAMA fans are outwardly arrogant to other fan bases while LSU is upset about an inside the program problem. It might not bother other fans as much because we are not arrogant but frustrated.

I also think LSU fans show more class when we are winning than Bama fans. If we were 12-0 right now and Bama was 9-3 we would simply congratulate them on a great season and move on. Bama fans like to throw it back at you when they are winning. They are not as gracious as LSU fans.

LSU fans are clearly as delusional, if not more so than Bama fans about MANY things. It's ironic that for all the reasons that I hear most of you LSU fans criticize Bama fans, y'all are equally as guilty of similar things, and you either can't see it or you refuse to. I think your fanbase is hilarious.

Really? Because even at 9-3 plenty of LSU fans are finding ways to put down Alabama.

You don't count...less delusional than the Bama average. Consider your AVERAGE fan.

Not saying we dont, but the larger % of us do not "throw it in your face" after we win.

umm.. nah. Yall had a chance to do that in 07 and all we heard was how irrelevant we were etc. etc.. Every base has good fans, every base has bad fans... everything is =

That is sad if you actually believe what you wrote. When you put up a different guy for heisman every week and it ends up a HUGE bust....delusional

Who has Alabama put up for Heisman this year? I can't think of anybody besides Mark Ingram. And sure the Alabama fans were all over it, but he was the leading candidate nation wide, it wasn't some fantasy. He led the Heisman pundit poll for half the season.

I have always thought Gumps were delusionally optimistic and self-aggrandizing while LSU fans are delusionally pessimistic and self-hating.

This board has only reinforced that notion.
Bama fans make me laugh, my fellow Tiger fans make me want to gouge out my own eyes...

Sorry to intrude here...

I've stopped laughing, it was touch and go there for a bit. Of course you'd throw it in our face if you beat us next year. There are a small group of Alabama fans on here that flame after every game and if it makes you feel better to act like all of us do it then so be it.

The main difference is it took Bama 100 years and it only took LSU 10.
