Would you consider it a success in year one of the Chizik era?

I would say yes! We got to recruit and get some depth. We have none at all. I believe we are in good hands. Hmmm who would I rather have...Les Miles or Chizik...that's a hard one.

considering where they were last year, I'd call it a success. You can't bring in a totally new staff to a bad team and expect to compete nationally overnight. Hell Saban and Bama were in the Indy bowl and then they went 12-2.

With recruiting, I think we will be back to what we were in two or three years at this rate.

With Saban at the helm of Alabama, that's shaping up for some classic Iron Bowls in the future.

I would. Regardless of the rest to season, Auburn coached one hell of a game today.

It seems like Bama's first year with Saban, but possibly even better.
They completely gave in to the coaches this game, which is a year before Bama did with Saban.

I will say that the OC is much better than M. Applewhite though.

Great IB and good luck with your bowl game.

Bama fan here but considering where Tubs had Auburn last year, Chizik has to be looked at as successful for this first year. This Iron Bowl was surely a lot better game than last year....although last year I wasn't nearly as nervous!

I thought we would go 4-8, so yes, even if we lose our bowl game (which, if we play like we did today, is highly unlikely) I'd say 2009 was a major step in the right direction.
