Based on their season to date, how do you rank the SEC coaches. Is it significantly different than the list you did earlier in the season?

Urban Meyer
Nick Saban
Rich Brooks
Houston Nutt
Bobby Petrino
Gene Chizik
Mark Richt
Les Miles
Steve Spurrier
Dan Mullen
Lane Kiffin
Bobby Johnson

I'm going to guess that most LSU fans will put Miles at the bottom.

This will be one of those threads where everyone can rank their own coach above where they should be

I think it's too hard to tell. There are different circumstances at every school.

the only reason i had the bottom 3 the way it is is becuase both Miles and Mullen are directly responsible for 1 stupid loss
Nutt came in close

Steve Spurrier didn't forget how to coach. Has anyone done as well as him at USC. We all know what he can do at a school with true resources. He should be at least #3 if not higher.

Nutt is not a good coach. I don't get people's reasoning.

saban- i expected bama to lose at least once by now.

meyer- undefeated as expected.

petrino- arkansas is a lot better than i thought they'd be.

brooks- kentucky was my darkhorse pick in the east and they have had another fine season.

chizik- i thought auburn would be terrible this season. proved me wrong, they aren't good but they're far from bad.

nutt- typical nutt, expectations= fail. i put him above miles since he continues to have his number.

miles- yea last game sucked polar bear dick but all in all things could be a lot worse. forget last game and LSU has lost to #1 florida and #2 alabama and still has a shot at the cotton bowl.

mullen- this guy is going to be a very good coach. if they give him the time they gave croom, by year 4 or 5 miss. state could be a force to be reckoned with.

spurrier- i don't think we will ever see south carolina challenge florida and georgia like we thought when spurrier took this job. nevertheless, the cocks are always a tough opponent. ellis johnson is also a great D coordinator which helps out the OBC.

richt- dude needs a defensive coordinator in the worst way. and a quarterback. tough year for uga, they will always be a competitor in the east though.

kiffin- gone about as expected. vols have been tough to beat every game except the second half of ole miss. guy is a massive douchenut though.

johnson- hope vandy regroups and gets back to a bowl next year.

how can you base it on one season.

Here is the best coaches in the SEC based on who I would have to build a program in their prime

Nutt
Saban
Spurrier
Brooks

Johnson
Petrino
Kiffen
Mullen
chizic

Meyer
Miles (I seen all I needed satruday, then his reaction)
Richt.

The last 3 guys are probabaly the worst coaches in the league based on my 5 criteria.

I despise Lame Kiffin as much as any Bama (or Gator) fan, but anyone who thinks that Spike Miles has done a better job of coaching than Kiffin this year needs to get back on their medication.

Flip Petrino and Nutt and then flip Mullen and Spurrier.

Anybody that doesn't have Richt at the bottom of the list hasn't paid attention to their abortion of season.
