LSU crushed them last year with the worst defense in a decade.
Vandy and MSU both put up 31 points on ACC's best team!

Yes, but how many points did Georgia Tech put up on these 2 opponents compared to what LSU put up on them?

they are a very good team and will always be hard to beat in the regular season. Bowl Games when a team will have several weeks to prepare for the offense is a completely different matter. I don't see PJ winning many bowl games at GT.

If PJ can win bowl games at Navy then he can win them at Tech.

Ok I'll play.... AU put more points and 3x the yards on state than LSU... LSU held AU to their lowest yards all year and 200+ under their average.

While I don't disagree... he can win them at Tech.... The level of competition isn't the same... So this really doesn't prove anything..

Not asking about Auburn. Asking about the points Georgia Tech put up on Vandy and State.

You also had a month to prepare for the option and Ga Tech was running that offense with players who were recruited to play in a pro-style offense.

Too bad Utah didn't run the option.

The reason they are so good so far is because they have an offense that is so hard to prepare for. Not only that, but it's mostly running and keeps the other offense off the field a lot of times, so they can beat anybody. So, I don't think they are overrated, but they will lose their bowl game almost every time because the month long break takes away their main advantage.

I don't think Georgia Tech is that overrated, they've only lost one game this year. The defense isn't all that great, but that offense is almost impossible to prepare for while only given a week to get ready for it. Now when Ga Tech gets to their bowl game, I'd expect the offense to get shut down a little bit. Their only loss this year came when Miami had two weeks to prepare for them, that offense can be figured out with extra time to get ready for it, otherwise its hard to stop.

LSU's D was ranked 32nd last year. Our O this year is ranked 109. Our D was terrrrible last year in comparison to a few years past, but wasn't by far the travisty of an O that we have this year. Look it up......

I think the Miami game was also their 3rd game in 12 days.

I am happy for them, while living in GA it has become very apparent that Tech is kinda the red headed step child around here so it's kinda fun to see them start competing with UGA again.

I also really respect CPJ, he is the old school don't take no shite from nobody type. I think he will do well for them.
