Would there be any reason for us not to go to the Capital one bowl? If we lose to LSU and beat State would we go to Cotten?? Auburn will lose to ALA and Geo will lose to Ga tech (mabe UK), and South Carolina has 5 losses. Who else would trump Ole miss??? Geo,USCe, and Auburn will have 5 or more losses by the end of the year

LSU-if they lose to Ole Miss and beat Arkansas. Both LSU and Ole Miss would be 9-3. I think Capitol One would take LSU before Ole Miss.

If the Hogs finish 8-4...by winning out...I would think they would take us in the Cotton...
Usually don't like to take back-to-back teams, but it is a new stadium...so who knows

Of course it's more about money. Have you seen how many bowls there are now?

I think it all depends on the ranking. If LSU stays in the top 15, the Cap 1 will likely take them. But bowl committees jizz over teams on a win streak. So they could look at the fact that we are 4-0 in November and give that the nod.
And if OM wins out. I think we break into the top 20.
And as far as fan support, they usually look at how well the fans travel and support the local businesses. We set at least 3 different alcohol sales records for the city of Dallas last year.

There is a possibility of a glut of SEC teams finishing the regular season at 7-5. Auburn most certainly will. Georgia probably will. Tennessee most likely will. Arkansas quite possibly could.

Gonna be a whole lot of pissed off fans.

I think even if Ole Miss and LSU both go 1-1, the Capital One and Cotton could still come calling for one or both.

If LSU loses to both OM and Ark, they should STAY HOME!

If they do, they will likely have a good shot at the Cotton Bowl.
And the Cotton Bowl > Peach fil a Bowl.
It's all about improving from one year to the next.

So a team with 4 losses doesn't deserve a bowl game?
