Friends,
I heard a story yesterday that I felt is worth sharing with you all. In the heat of the battle against LSU on Saturday, Kodi Burns took a shot to the chin that cut open his lip and knocked out two of his teeth. Kodi came to the sidelines with the teeth in his hand. The trainers sewed his mouth up, wiped off the blood and Kodi went right back in the game and ran the ball as hard as ever. He never quit.
The game was a tough, tough loss, but none of our players ever quit. They scored their only touchdown of the night on the last play of the game.
One thing I noticed was that the LSU student section got there early, stayed late and made a lot of noise until the very end. They made the difference for their team.
We play Ole Miss on Saturday in a game that we need to win to become bowl-eligible. Between now and Saturday, you might see signs or stickers that simply say "11:21, be the difference." We had those signs and stickers made to remind all of you that kickoff is early on Saturday. It's at 11:21 a.m and you need to be there to "be the difference." We need to get there early, stay late and be loud to show our team we are behind them no matter what.
This season is not even close to being over. There are some big games left that we can win, but we need your help to give our team the home-field advantage that Jordan-Hare Stadium has always been known for!
11:21. Get there early. Stay late. Be loud. Be the difference.

The rest of the LSU fans should learn from them.

we went NUTS trying to make it as difficult for Auburn to score when they reached the goal line in the final minutes.
It didnt work, but I was pretty impressed with the noise level considering 2/3 of the non-students had gone by that point.

This reminds me of Tyson's interview following his loss to Holyfield.

That is true about Kodi. I said for the longest time Brandon Cox played with more heart than any other football player I've ever seen, Kodi is challenging him for that crown.

hell...my date wanted to leave our first couple games early and I sure as hell wasn't going to let her leave without me...then walk to the bars, have a beer or two then off to my place to play...gotta have your priorities straight sometimes...

Everything I have seen posted about Burns is very impressive, especially the way he was open to the position change. He seems like a great leader for Auburn.

problem is the section between the 20's look like a Geriatric section in a hospital, and most of the other parts of the stadium is filled with yuppies. Not as many joe fans go to lsu games imo.

I got told to sit down several times at the FL game
I was like WTF... This is Tiger Stadium.

another thing that has somewhat of an effect on tiger stadium is that you cannot smoke outside anymore thanks to our marxist type LA clean air act. 20% of the people that go to the game smoke and most just leave at half minus if its a great game and go back to the tailgate spot.

Well, duh. LSU was winning from the start! Everyone knows that LSU fans head for the hills at the first sign of trouble. Just ask any of the 85,000+ that missed last year's comeback against Troy.
