giving a coach time to rebuild a program?
Some of you people are so damn desperate to feel like you are "right" for hating on Kiffin all offseason that you don't mind taking a shite on recent history to prove your point.
I'm not going to repost Carroll, Saban, Tressell, Stoops' records again because you guys just ignore that point. And, other than perhaps Saban, NONE of those guys were more proven coaches when they got to their current program than Kiffin. "Carroll>>>Kiffin" IS NOT AN INTELLIGENT RESPONSE. Hindsight is 20/20, of course its easy to say that now. Comparing first year to first year, there is practically no difference.
I've already pointed out that UT is the least penalized team in the league. I'm pretty sure that I've pointed out that Tennssee has outscored opponents 62-10 in the fourth quarter this year, meaning they do NOT give up, unlike last year. I know i've pointed out our top ten national defense that has been injury riddled. The receivers are open, the zone blocking is working, the plays are there.
EXECUTION is the problem, not coaching and any fricktard that actually watches the game can tell, you people are just desperate to feel vindicated.
Meanwhile, Kiffin will continue to kill it in recruiting and, in three years, you will all look like the turd-for-brains you are.

I think he will be ok......I agree with you. Most of the posters on this board are just giving UT fans shite; don't sweat it. Still lots of season left.

bottom line is that the Vols have more talent than Auburn and Miss. St,and are doing nothing with it,whereas Aubie and Miss St. are doing great with new coaches....He fricking sux.

I honestly think Kiffin brought this on himself. He came into the strongest conference in the country running his mouth. He criticized Meyer who currently had his team ranked number one, was the defending NC's and has won two NC's in a few years at Florida.
All he has done is get fired from the Raiders and he is talking shite. You can't do that and not expect to have it thrown in your face.
He will not last 3 years in Tennersee.

Kiffin came in before he had coached one game in college and proclaimed that he was going to beat the National Champions in his first year. The criticism that is coming to Tennessee now is a direct result of his brash tactics and their lack of fulfillment.

You did not lose to an established team and coach. You lost to a first year rebuilding coach just like yours. Auburn was last in the SEC Championship in'04, Tennessee in '07. They have more rebuilding to do. They beat you in your stadium.

Those other HCs you mentioned didn't run their mouths and brag about what they were gonna do like some fratboy with with his daddy behind him. All before doing a damn thing.
