It's not the fall that gets you, it's the sudden stop.

The real problem with a concussion is the secondary collision - your brain hitting the back of your skull. Tebow had 2 secondary collisions.

Anyone have an update on Tebow? I assume a concussion and he'll be fine.

Hate to see him hurt, but Urban got taught a valuable lesson if Tim has to miss any time.

You guys are idiots. Saban said it best.

We were only up by 24, you can't coach scared. After that score I think he would have been out anyway, but I stand by Meyer's decision to play him.

Meyer said he's not sure in the post game but he thinks he will be okay. "Doctors" on other gator boards are saying that judging by looking at him (the fact that he was able to walk and they didn't put a neck brace on immediately which suggests they don't think he has a spinal injury) he will likely miss 7-10 days of practice but should be back for LSU.

I agree, but the game was really in hand, and he was already sick too. Woulda just been a wiser decision to have a back up in. Ky was not doing a thing and the game was not even close to being in question.

He would have been taken out after he drive regardless. He was kept him to work with the WR's.

there shouldn't be an argument on whether Tebow should have been in or not.

At what point do you take your starting, lynch-pin QB out of the game? 40 points ahead? 50? 80?

he shouldn't have been in. period.

I don't know how sick he was before or during the game, but if he was throwing up solely due to the concussion then he is in a really bad situation.

It is possible, and likely, that if his concussion was that severe he will be out a month. I hope not, b/c I really wanted to see him in Tiger Stadium again.

A concussion is devastating for Tebow though. This will make his draft status much more of a risk. Once someone has a concussion they are much more likely to get another concussion. The more they occure, the easier they occur. They can even lead to brain damage or death. Many players have to stop playing only due to concussions. This is not good at all for teams looking at him as a running quarterback or any position where her will receive alot of hits.

I hope he can play on Oct 10th. I want to see the real gators play the Tigers. Gators will not be the same without him

damn...that sucked. i think it's a concussion for sure...how can it not be?

that kid shoulda went to the hospital straight from the field. he was in la la land. that's not a bad thing. he's tough as heck. i just hope he's ok.

the thing with bad concussions, and how can that not be, is that they last for months. players talk about the lingering effects for a long time. ugh.

With just a minor concussion you have to sit out 7 days without any contact.

My brother-in-law played quarterback and wide receiver for LSU during 2003 NC and in highschool he had a pretty bad concussion. He completely forgot 2 days. Has absolutely no recolection of what happened. If you have a concussion bad enough to vomit, it is a VERY BAD concussion. Like I said he will be out a month if that is the case.

Florida is solid, and probably has the weapons to beat LSU even without Tebow. I hope that someone doesn't blow it by rushing him back into the sport with so much of his future on the line.
