re: Offering Up My Southern Italy Home for Travel Board Members
Posted by juice4lsu on 4/16/25 at 11:05 am
Send me some info. Won't be able to make it this year with other travel planned but would like to have it for the future.
Sent you an email.
One of our possible plans in the future is to consider a place in Italy to live part time.

Very cool!
Would love to know more about how you found your place and how you decided on the Apulia region and Monopoli. I've never explored that area of Italy, but it's very high on the list. It seems like it would be a bit less touristy.

@lsu777 Where are you sourcing peptides from nowadays?
I'm looking to do a round of BPC-157 and TB-500 for a neck injury from a wreck.
Appreciate it!

Germany is already in a recession as their economy shrank in both 2023 and 2024.

Do you have electricity run to the cabinet? I have a duxtop portable induction cooktop for my outdoor kitchen, and I love it.

Sounded like a threat to the American homeland. If you notice in the full video, Trump said nothing until Zelenskyy said that. Then he was pissed, and rightfully so.

Where are you chartering out of? Is it a Moorings charter or another outfit?

20,114 miles flown. A few other road trips in between. 2024 was a great year!

Did she work for LSU or the security company or was she just some random dumbass?
Seemed like she worked for the "security" company and was also a random dumbass.

Valid point

The plan was to do that on the way out of the stadium, but I unfortunately didn't see her.
Seat back not allowed - it's a weapon
Posted by juice4lsu on 11/11/24 at 7:59 am
Some woman at my gate tries to tell me that because my seat back has metal on it, it's a weapon and weapons aren't allowed in the stadium. Totally ridiculous. I walk to another gate and no one says anything.
Anyone else experience this?

re: The Storm Before The Calm is an interesting book

It is a phenomenal book. Whether the theory is correct or not, is one of the best history books I've ever read. The original book, The Fourth Turning, was written in the early to mid 90's. It actually predicted much of what we are dealing with today along with a financial crisis in 2007-2008.
It does give you some perspective and you start to see patterns in today's world. Ultimately, I found it encouraging. If history is linear, we are on a path to destruction, but with a cyclical view of history the night is darkest before the dawn.

This is similar to the book The Fourth Turning and the more recent The Fourth Turning is Here. Very interesting, detailed reads on history, economics and demography. You don't need the background of the first book to read the second.
Far more detail in the book but you can get a high level view of their theory here:

Great win! The amount of 3+ minute commercial breaks is insane

It's ruining the game and something has to change.

West sideline lower and students are the worst. South end zone sticks around the longest.
re: Home cook levels -- where do you put yourself?

4 - 4+
I would say + because 90%+ of my experimentation comes out well. I don't really ever follow a recipe. I don't think I could ever say 5. There is always room for improvement, and I never finish cooking something without thinking what I might modify next time.
I grew up in a food family... caterers, head chef of the Senators dining hall in the State Capital, and a Culinary Institute of America graduate. Every holiday had an official menu that was set out months before. It's all I've ever known, and I've loved to cook for as long as I can remember.
One possible addition to Level 5 - Friends or family call or text you for advice before or even mid-cooking something. That happens to me fairly often.

re: Hottest Games in Tiger Stadium

I've been in the same seats for 30 years on the East side. This was the hottest game I've been to. It had to be 115F in the stands on the East.
2015 Auburn comes very close, but this just felt hotter.
