He's also resurrected a UF program on life support.

Hold up! UF was not on "life support." They had a couple of down seasons, but were by no means on the verge of not being considered a tough SEC foe.

let me make sure we are clear.

He's won with a gimmick offense that nonbcs programs were not prepared to stop.

So let me see if I understand this correctly: He has won? Not only has he won, but he has won BIG on more than one occasion. And due to him using a "gimmick offense" he is a fraud?

I got news for you. THIS IS NOT THE NFL! It is COLLEGE FOOTBALL. Who gives a shite that his system isnt the same as the NFL. He is a COLLEGE football coach. He uses what works and so far he has succeeded.

houston nutt has used a different system and still can't come near to doing what Meyer has done. Give it up already. Urban Meyer is the best coach in the country.

college football and professional football are very different sports because of the quality and maturity of the players. running QB's don't last long. i think you're right about meyer and his system not working well in the NFL, but it damn sure works in college. w/o tebow, meyer will still be successful because he knows how to put darn good defenses on the field too. will he be as good after tebow? no or at least not until he discovers another awesome running QB.

FL will never have a QB capable of winning the MNC ever again. We are sunk when Tebow leaves. Corch Meyer will not change the offense to suit the personnel and will try to make Brantley the next Eric Crouch. Gosh darn we have a gloomy future. When we fire Corch I hope we can lure Nutt away from the webels with boat loads of cash 'cause he sure is worth it and will turn us into a national power that puts every recruit into the first round every year.

The SEc at the highest level is closest to what the NFL is. there is no way Meyer gets back to the SEC title game without Tim. He's just a poor coach in my opinion. Saban, Kiffen, Chavis, Richt, Tyrone Nix, they will rip this man to SHREDS without Tebow.

Thanks for the heads up. Since you are so much the expert why don't you call our SID office get an appointment with Corch and help a brother out. Lord knows he needs it. Maybe you can help him scratch out some plays on the whiteboard and give him some pointers. Garsh, I sho' would be indebted to you for savings us from impending doom.

You do know that he won his first national title with a pure passer taking 85% of the snaps, right?

And why did this thread make it past the third post before someone pointed that out?

Geez, I liked it better when the delusion Bama fans ran this place. They are a lot better than the fringe webels.

If you search for posts made by wildrebeltime using the phrase "Meyer", it turns up almost four pages of comments. Now that's trolling.

And that doesn't even include his Nutt loving, Malzhan hating, etc.
