How?

All he's done at LSU is make plays...

????

In the time that Les Miles has allowed him on the field to make a play, that's all he's done at LSU.

So LuckyLee... How again is Keiland a bust? Or are you just eating the stupid pills today?

Don't put words in my mouth. I said "underachiever." And he most definitely is. Do you think when he was a 5* player siting on his couch in HS his dream was to be a career backup at LSU?

He's definitely not a bust... but I always thought he had the all-around skill set to be better and a true No. 1 RB.

You know, as a UIUC fan, KW reminds me a lot of Rashard Mendenhall. Jacked, talented...but kinda too big in a sense. Over 4 years has turned himself into a straight line downhill guy instead of a true athlete.

I'm not sure if KW is a giant vag like RM is, either, but the similarities are there anyway, IMO.

I read somewhere that Keiland Williams is a vegetarian. Seems like it was in the LSU student paper.

Keiland is not a bust but he has not lived up to the incredible hype which surrounded his recruitment and signing. Seeing the hoopla around him and his subsequent performance over the last 3 years has made me realize that there is a lot of speculation concerning these blue chip recruits. He is a solid running back but has not lived up to expectations over his first 3 years. He may totally tear it up this year but I wouldn't expect this year to be too much different than the last three.

has he ever really gotten out of Miles' doghouse? no bust, but based on the hype saying he has underachieved would be a vast understatment.

He is back up to the best running back in the sec, but when he comes in, he always makes plays, I dont see how this makes him an underachiever

1) Not all 5 stars live up to their hype but he's certainly not a bust. See Joe McKnight.

2) Keiland refused to hit the holes in his first year and there were rumors floating around that he just couldn't grasp the playbook. (Which blows my mind for a RB)

3) While he might not be a #1 he should certainly be considered a 1-B. He has his very own package installed in the offense.

4) He'll be playing on Sundays next year.

When you have 2 NFL backs on your roster, in the same class..and your coach preferes a big power back...your not exactly going to get the amount of carries that you want if your not said big power back.

keiland isn't exactly a speed back these days. he's fat and has lost a step, hell probably multiple steps. he's not a total bust, but he definitely hasn't lived up to expectations. doc must have posted every single one of his career highlights in the first post

CS was never hyped in that '06 class as much as KW. maybe because there was no drama in his signing. regardless, i hope KW has his best overall yr., this yr.

well, he does get benched for the rest of the game after any big play he makes so its hard to make many more when you're watching the entire 2nd half as punishment for scoring a TD.

I wouldn't say a bust but he hasn't been overwhelming. His yardage totals are relatively low but he runs for a good average. The only thing that would make him a bust was the expectation that he would be alone at the top of the depth chart. That's probably Chuck's fault more than anyone.
