You're quite stupid, you know?

No, I just hate recruiting hype. It's gotten way out of hand. Keiland Williams is an underachiever according to recruiting hype. It's gonna happen at Bama too. I don't have anything against Keiland Williams. He's not an outright bust.
Don't put words in my mouth. I said "underachiever." And he most definitely is. Do you think when he was a 5* player siting on his couch in HS his dream was to be a career backup at LSU?
quote:

Do what? Be a fricking badass for 4 years? Oh wait...he did that.

Bad arse? Hardly. I've already said I give him a pass because of injury. He could've been a bad arse his senior year but he got hurt.

The stats say he wasn't a bad arse, just a good player.

Williams is just an underachiever.

How?

Are you serious? He was a 5* player coming out and he's basically been a career back up.
I've lurked on this site and all I hear about is how much talent LSU has. Hell, I'm sure it happens on UF sites and it's beginning to happen on Bama sites. Talent is just god given physical ability right? He's big, he's strong, he's fast, he's talented.

If LSU really has that much talent, why is a 5-11, 175lb player starting at SS? He could turn out to be a monster on the field, but talent wise for a SS, he ain't shite. When NFL draft time comes around, no one's looking for a 175 lb SS.

I think talent is kinda bullshite though. Results on the field are way more important than talent to me. But this is a discussion about LSU's talent.

Then why start a thread like this when you haven't seen the guy play safety yet?

GTFO plz.
quote:

You needed overtime to win a game in which our QB almost literally handed your backfield the ball 4 times.

How is that impressive?

Who had a better secondary last year, Bama or LSU? Seriously man, this is a fricking layup.
quote:

Keiland Williams is as good of a #2 RB you're gonna find in the nation

Meh, maybe. Look, Bama's gonna have underachievers/busts too. We just haven't had that many because we weren't signing that many 5* players. I firmly believe that Tyler Love is going to be an outright bust. Williams is just an underachiever.

quote:

he'll be an NFL RB next year

He'll get picked in a later round.

quote:

Davenport, Randle, Shepard, and Loston will be great players for LSU too.

Maybe, but I'll bet 2/4 will be busts or underachievers. Let's see them do something on a college field first. This goes for guys like Trent Richardson and Nico Johnson too.
quote:

So if you haven't heard of them, that means they don't exist or are not on the team?

No that means I can't comment on him because I've never heard of him. Did you go to Mcdonogh 35?
quote:

LSU has more talent in the D-backfield.

I never said they didn't.

Hawkins blows, but Peterson looks for real.

quote:

Mr. Pompawhatever, we don't have as good a secondary as LSU does this year.

Well we did last year, by a fricking long shot too. LSU might have a better one this year.

Results on the field>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>talent.
:bird: Chaz Ramsey

But he wasn't a 5*.
quote:

He/She has yet to answer why Bama has at least 4 DBs in the same size range (and smaller).

Are you dense? Product of the LA public school system?

SS is typically the biggest DB. You named 1 guy I've never heard of, 2 corners, and Robby Green who is small but will be playing FS.
quote:

So you're saying that a 175lb guy cant play SS?

9/10 if your SS weighs 175 lbs, he's not gonna be the strong link in your D.
quote:

He is also known to be a freak in the weight room

This shite doesn't even matter. He weighs (or did last year) 175 lbs. Good like bringing a guy like Ben Tate down when you're that size.
quote:

I've posted some measurements on a few of his beloved Bama DBs and can't get a response.

I was dropping a fricking deuce shitdick.
quote:

A. That's LAST year's measurement, when he was a corner...

How much you think he weighs now? He didn't add 25 lbs, let's be honest.

quote:

B. What is a Bama fan doing talking smack about that? Rashad Johnson much?

Rashad was bigger than 175 and he played FS. Also, Ron Brooks will not even be 1/4 of the player that Rashad was.
quote:

Mark Holt at 6'0" - 169 lbs

never heard of him

quote:

Marquis Johnson at 5'11" - 180 lbs.

nickel/dime back

quote:

Javier Arenas at 5'9" - 193 lbs.

corner

quote:

Robby Green at 6'0" - 180 lbs.

FS. He is small, but we are thin there and FS/=SS. We just had a smaller FS and he was a bad arse. Ask Jarret Lee about him.

quote:

FYI, Brooks came in as a CB. The same position as Phelon.

I don't give a frick where they came in. Phelon was playing corner for LSU right?

EDIT: Bama's SS is Justin Woodall who is AT LEAST 210.
quote:

Back up your assertion.

Your prototypical SS ain't 175 lbs. Yeah there's exceptions with guys like Bob Sanders, but they're few and far between. Chances are if your SS weighs 175, that's not a strong position for your team.

get a life
quote:

Maybe a better question is, why would LSU's staff rather keep a 175 lber and let Phelon go?

I think Phelon was a CB at LSU. Maybe Brooks>Jones. Maybe Saban knows more about DBs than LSU's staff. Who knows? I don't care. If the kid's a baller, I'll take him.
