The funniest part of that post is that LSU actually DOES claim a NC from a 10-2 season where they beat an OSU team that wasn't as good at Utah.

How about this......... Bama isn't going to claim ANY of the 17 NC's that were ever awarded to us. Then those of you with the problem will feel better about yourselves.
We're also only going to count the last 10 years (excluding last year except the SECCG and the Sugar Bowl) as history.
How's that? And IF Bama ever wins another NC or beats any of your teams again, we won't count those in the records.
In short, we're just going to pick and choose the few specific parts of Bama's history that are in your favor and talk about those.

Ya'll let down, and you let the conference down. We did the same thing in 2003 vs USC. UGA did against WVa. UF did vs UofM. Only ones who haven't let down? Vandy and LSU. I'm not a Miles fan, but give the devil his due. He crushes teams like no one else in bowls. Saban didn't have the Bama team prepared for Utah. He had the same problem at LSU a couple of times.
I know ya'll think Saban is God. Time will tell. I think the guy's temperment is questionable.

Bama will lose a game to a lesser team that they are supposed to win. It happens to every Saban team! Unless everyone else loses and Bama slides in like LSU did in 2007, I don't see it. Last year Bama caught all the breaks until the very end. It won't happen again. I think Florida repeats. Now, I think Bama can make it to the SECCG (favorable schedule) and give Florida a run.

No they aren't.
Utah never lost in '08. Who are we to judge whether an undefeated team was the best in the country or the 4th best when we never see the top teams play it out?
Had it been a 12 game season who's to say Bama shouldn't have won the national championship? Things change when you play out the games. If there's one thing we should all realize by now it's that the system is broken.
I would argue there have been only a select few undisputed national champions in the last 100 years of college football, and I would predict our chances this season of having one at less than 20%.
Just look at the fact that you can claim Bama has anywhere from 6 to 20 for reference.

The BCS system could certainly be improved upon, but it does produce legitimate titles. It may not be a playoff system, but it does do more to actually get the top 2 teams playing in the title game than the previous system ever did.
I would definitely prefer a playoff of some sort, even a plus-1, but the BCS isn't that bad of a system. And it's been good to the SEC the last few years (Auburn exception noted).

Do you think you should claim a NC for a season when you finish on a losing streak? Doesn't bama claim some NC's after losing their last game. Does bama claim a NC for last year since they finished the regular season 12-0. I'm sure Finebaum will write an article and award Bama a NC for 2009 and disregard the 0-2 post season losing streak. I think Bama would be more respected if they claimed their 12 legit NC's instead of trying to claim 17.
