Nick was great here no doubt, but the Bama's preaching about the "Lamborghini" the he left Miles is stupid. Didn't he lose 5 games his last season here? Isn't that the "mediocraty" that we have supposedly fallen to w/Miles?

Then Nick gets no credit for last year's success because your two biggest rivals, Auburn & Tennesse, were both down. They were both worse last year than Alabama has been in a while.

I don't think it's much of a discussion anymore since you were 3-5 in the SEC. Thankfully Miles started losing or we'd still have to be hearing this.

I'm not trying to start a flame war or anything but...

This is the biggest cop out ever...All season Bama fans talked smack about how they were back and going to win the conference...then after they got beat it was "ahhh they did better than I ever thought they would" and then they proceeded to lose to Utah and it was "well we were disappointed to be playing the Sugar Bowl"..."we had national championship game on our mind" it is bull crap. The Sugar Bowl loss was lost on pure coaching...Saban got outcoached and he failed to get his players ready for the game...bottome line!

It is more telling about the quality of the SEC than anything else.

Gotta love Bama logic

So when Miles doesn't win the SEC, it reflects poorly on him as a coach, but when Saban doesn't win the SEC it's because of the quality of the SEC?

Well, our "down" 8 - 5 season still beats your 2 worst years of that era. It also ended with a bowl win, something that your best season in that era failed to produce.

Didn't we beat Texas Tech in the cotton bowl and finished ranked in the top 25?

Did yo guys finish in the top 25 last year

Who's the dumb arse now?

I may get run out of town but I agree with this....Losing to UF may have taken the wind out of the Tide but it's Nick's Job to get them back together and beat the Uts. If they smash Utah the SEC champ game is viewed as the Nat Champ game by a lot of people.

I couldnt get up to play Utah. Hell, if LSU had played in the Sugar Bowl vs Utah, I doubt I would even watch it, to be honest.

I think that monster OL not playing may have had something to do with it too.

That was their first BCS bowl in almost 10 yrs. Back to back Independence Bowls. If they couldn't get up for the Sugar Bowl vs DeVry with a month off after Florida, that says something about their coach's motivational skills.

You really wouldn't be ready to play in a BCS bowl if it was against an undefeated team? How come Richt had no trouble getting UGA ready to play Hawaii the previous year? Is Richt just that much of a better coach then Saban?

Not much of an LSU fan then if you wouldn't watch LSU in the Sugar Bowl, regardless of who they're playing.

We finished at 27. There's not a whole lot of difference between the No.20 and No.30 teams... so... think what you want.

We had a solid, yet disappointing season.
