11 players. Pick one package (3-4, 4-3, 5-2-4 etc)

I'll start.

UGA-

[Recency bias exists]

3-4

DL Jordan Davis
DL Jalen Carter
DL Devonte Wyatt

MLB Roquan Smith
MLB Alec Ogletree
OLB Travon Walker (DE hybrid so you can run a 4-3 out of this personnel)
OLB Jarvis Jones

S Malaki Stark
S JR Reed
CB Deandre Baker
CB Champ Bailey

What is an explosive defense exactly? Like speed? It’s more of a term you hear coined for offenses

Wouldn’t it be easier to just pick the best overall players all time discussing your past defenders ?

No David Pollack? This isn’t a serious list.

Yea you’re really showing your age on this one. Richard Seymour, Geno Atkins and David Pollack destroy that line you listed

DT - A'Shawn Robinson
DT - Jonathan Allen
DE - Eric Curry
DE - John Copeland

LB - Derrick Thomas
LB - Cornelius Bennet
MLB - Woodrow Lowe

CB - Patrick Surtain
CB - Don McNeal
S - Mark Barron
S - Landon Collins

The topic is "most explosive" defense which means negative plays, sacks and TOs. This defense is going to flat get after the QB. Curry and Copeland are the best pair of rush ends in the SEC in my lifetime. And then Biscuit and DT are simply the best rush OLBs any school could put on field. Woodrow Lowe maybe out of position here in the middle (tough to omit Rolando McClain and Lee Roy Jordan), but there's no way I'm leaving off a 3-time All-American.

I’d remove Barron, add Langham and move Fitzpatrick to safety

Where to put Leroy Jordan, Copeland and Curry

Earlier today one of your boys on this board made the same topic but for offenses, so I copied his topic title word for word but made it defense.

Not a hard concept chief.

If you are choosing Pollack over Jarvis Jones or Travon Walker (#1 overall draft pick) as the edge on the DL who can also play traditional linebacker, you are a moron.

If we are talking about the best college defense (and not nfl potential) pollack was one of the best defensive players in SEC history.

I thought by explicitly stating "recency bias exists" that I could avoid this kind of bullshite.

I was wrong.

This board truly has gone to shite.

I don't know why I even try anymore.

In a 4-3, DP would probably be on my list. I chose a 3-4.

Now make your list. And don't just copy and paste mine and put Pollack in front of Travon Walker.

DE Freddie Joe Nunn
DT Walter Nolan
DT Kelvin Pritchett
DE Greg Hardy

LB Cassius Ware
LB Patrick Willis
LB DeWayne Dotson

DB Ken Lucas
DB Todd Sandroni
DB Chris Mitchell
DB Marshay Green

But to be fair, we usually don’t do defense
