Of course this is the season were having, but still excited as hell. As a college baseball fan, the dude has been on my bucket list for sometime and really looking forward to next weekend. Some questions:

-I have SRO tickets all weekend..I've been told that gives me access to the left field lounge but obviously not boxes...or whatever theyre called. Is that true... id love to hang out there and take that in...are yall welcoming out there kinda like we are w tailgates?

-Ive heard you can bring in a small ice chest and its pretty easy to get beer in at the bottom of it...also true? Is there gonna be any trouble getting a metal hip flask in....would love to spread some single barrel bourbon love to anyone out in left field that would have me.

-best bars/pregame spots in walking distance? Do yall have a tailgate scene thats welcoming of visitors?

-anything in Starkvegas I cant miss food or drink wise?

Fully expecting to get swept but excited anyway!

ETA: im getting downvoted to hell....frick me I guess? Delete if asking about things isnt allowed?

Thought this was a Big Lebowski tribute thread. Regardless, the Dude abides.

I downvoted you because you complained about being downvoted, but at the same time I hope you have an enjoyable trip to what is without question one of the best college baseball stadiums and experiences in these United States of America.

As an aside, your thread title has inspired me to have one or three White Russian beverages with my very late breakfast today.

SRO allows walking around the outfield where the boxes are. Views of the field all the way around the stadium. Ice chest and beer are fine. Cotton district going to be closest walking distance.

Best bet is a small cooler... Six pack size with food on top of the beer. You might get by with a slightly bigger cooler.

Cotton district is walkable. Two Brothers is usually fairly quick, 2nd level has a balcony and outdoor seating. Get a Brother Mary and tacos.

Little Dooey is in the same area.

Yes, SRO gets you access to the lounge.

Sixpack size coolers will work best. They'll ask you to open it at the gate, but they barely look in it. I always put a paper towel on top and skate right through. You can bring anything in, including food.

Cotton District. Two Brothers or the Landing would be a good start, but there are several to visit. Boardtown Pizza doesn't suck. I think there's a street festival with food trucks, arts and crafts, etc. on Saturday.

reminds me of some of Coach Bertmans shots at Starkville back in the day.

In no order

1) "Coach Polk invited me to his house for a Bar B Que. He told me he had split level housing. Turns out it was just a double wide on the side of a hill."
2) "Starkville is where the toothbrush was invented. Anywhere else and it would have been called a teethbrush."
3) "A tornado once went through Starkville and did a million dollars of improvements"
4) "Starkville is an Indian word for 'trailer park'"
5) "When we book our hotel room in Starkville, we always ask for a room without a view..."

State has dimensions on what is allowed to bring in. I like putting a couple of water bottles with with bourbon at the bottom then a couple beers then ice. Just make sure to have a hand towel or paper towel covering it up at the top. They will ask you to open it then close it. Id nothing seen no problem. Dont plan to be able to sit anywhere with SRO seating unless you get there REAL early to get seats on the berm. It honestly is the greatest stadium for college baseball. Have a great time. Ill be there for the series its going to be awesome

was able to find dimension on the website and think I should be good. The ice chest I have that fits is of course purple with a big Toonces LSU logo on the front which hopfully doesnt cue them to really investigate lol

You walk up and set it in a box if it fits youre good. No one is going to care that its purple and gold. This isn't LSU campus you aren't going to get harassed etc
