probably not gonna see a change and ill happily take these good seasons we are having compared to what we had pre-oats. but i dont think its possible to win a championship shunning the mid range game unless the shot clock it running out or something...and not even attempting a dump to the post game....seems like a medium could be found in there but i cant argue with his results

Winning it all would be great.

Considering our history, consistently making the tournament and the only coach in our history to make a final four I’ll happily take it.

They could do it but you’d need a 2018 Villanova-esque run of hitting from three to do so.

Bama is just so heavily reliant upon the three.

If Oats could get an elite Herb Jones like protector/driver to go with the three game, there would be hope.

The problem tonight was Michigan’s size combined with their depth.

its really amazing to me that you can win at the rate we have won the last several years shooting 30-50 3 point shots......we need 2 steph currys and a klay

The year Oats puts together a balanced offense that tries on defense, he probably won’t get the fortune of playing nothing but double digit seeds.

thats where our seasons always end... duke last year and uconn before...hence my perceived ceiling on this style.. unless you got a bracket that broke wide open and never had to face size........lets be honest its hard as hell to win a championship in basketball i dont know how florida has been so fortunate

It’s just a very sink or swim style. At its best you’ll beat anyone. At its worse you’ll lose in a the first round to a 14 seed. Stringing it together is tough.

t tries on defense
i dont think we are as bad as they say defensively...when you shoot in 10 seconds teams are gonna have more possessions more runouts your gonna give up 20 more points...if we played houston style and shot with 10 on the clock we would appear to be better defensively.....michigan gonna score 90 on everybody

im not even sure this is true anymore...unless saying at "its best" is like 25/50...which has been done exactly once in history by us against byu last year....problem is michigan can shoot just as good as us...how did we only lose by 13?

alabama doesn’t have the NIL to be seriously competitive in CBB. All their good bigs got bought by other teams this past offseason.

The best two guards in program history are now gone - Sears last year and now Philon.

Uphill climb to be relevant.

Wasn't Bruce Pearl using the exact same philosophy with his Auburn teams? "Shoot from the hip" "Live by the 3 die by the 3"? Basically a "Blitzkrieg" gameplan that relied on quantity of shots over quality of shots?

You are just now seeing this? I have been saying since he has been there. Yeah it is exciting and entertaining but you be hard pressed to win a championship playing like that. Going on a 6 game run in the tourney against good competition with that style is nearly impossible.

The teams that go deep in the tournament are full of upperclassmen.

Your freshmen will likely get bought and transfer.
