My guy said Oates to UNC is a done deal, he’s a WBT Sportz inzider. Will be announced after the Michigan loss.

Money is on Golden, won a natty, never had players kill anyone or sling weed.

I actually have a dark horse: golden to lsu
He sees how much support LK is getting and that the admin is willing to let him do whatever it takes to win and lsu doesn’t have the pressure of blue bloods like Kansas and UNC

I'll take that bet. No history at UNC. Will not happen. Same for Oats. And neither fits the Argyle Image that I believe Chapel Hill still wants.
Look - Pitino in his prime would have never been a coach there. Same for Bill Self. I don't know who they'll get. But I'm positive it will be neither Golden or Oats.

Did the coach at UNC not have any children he could leave the job to right before he got fired?

UNC probably passes on both due to... issues.

Is neither an option?

I'll put my chips in ... Golden stays exactly where he is. As long as the NIL money is there.
Its a great place to recruit to. The academics are good enough for the rare kid that actually wants a degree. Multiple coaches have shown you can win there.
As long as the football drama continues ... its not like you're under the microscope, but you still get some pop when the team is good.

Neither are going to UNC. I do think it would be interesting if Kansas opened though.

And you know this how ? You don't. Nobody knows, for any school. Hell, the schools don't know.
At this point, anybody that can just budget ... based upon realistic contributions by the known whales ... gets a high paying job at one of these schools.
Because the noise is obvious. The last couple years have bled boosters dry. They're tapped out at the current levels. The "market" ... which every gum bumping talker loves to reference without understanding what it even means ... is getting ready to change. Quickly.
You know where its going Caw ? Then quit wasting time here. Go get paid.
