Same way you are probably about 5' 2".

Genetics or a medical condition.

Most likely a GH-secreting pituitary tumor that developed prior to puberty.

Its the chicken !

Historically, chicken feed has been fortified with various growth promoters, including antibiotics to improve feed conversion, probiotics, prebiotics, exogenous enzymes, and arsenicals to increase growth rates and enhance health.

It sounds wild, but there are real biological reasons someone can reach 7'9"—it almost always comes down to hormones and timing.
?? The main cause: growth hormone overload
Most extreme height cases are due to a condition called Gigantism.
The body produces too much growth hormone (GH) during childhood
Usually caused by a pituitary tumor (non-cancerous)
Since the growth plates in bones are still open ? bones keep growing longer than normal
?? Result: the person just keeps getting taller… and taller
?? After puberty: a related condition
If the same hormone issue happens after growth plates close, it becomes:
Acromegaly
This doesn’t make you taller, but it enlarges:
hands
feet
jaw
facial features
?? Real example
The tallest widely recognized person in modern history:
Robert Wadlow
Height: 8'11"
Cause: overactive pituitary gland
He never stopped growing
?? It’s not just “being tall”
People this tall usually deal with serious issues:
Joint and bone stress
Heart strain
Circulation problems
Shorter life expectancy (in many cases)
So while it seems cool, it’s actually a medical condition, not just genetics or “good luck.”
?? Quick simple version
Someone gets to 7'9" because:
Their body produces way too much growth hormone
It happens before puberty ends
Their bones never get the signal to stop growing
