Anthony Lucas takes over Fayetteville HS football

Speculation that Kevin Kelley goes back to Pulaski Academy?

He did himself no favors with that knee jerk tweet banning Arkansas from his facilities.

yeah dude, that was dumb

just like the Fayetteville QB, I think there's more kids who are going to start skipping their entire senior years in high school and go get a redshirt year out of the way. It makes sense. Nobody learns anything in class their senior year of high school IMO. Unless they intend on going premed in college and have a great private school education

I think what Kevin Kelley did at PA is pretty remarkable. Sheridan is terrible at football. Whatever is in their water there isn't very conducive to winning at football.

The state of football is insane and sad at this point

they do have an OL committed to Arkansas, and they've got a running back who's very good, D1 level good

and I think they've got a fairly recent QB transfer that is really good

I lived in Sheridan for 15 years and the gene pool is quite low.

They could win more games if Kelley would drop those stupid onside kicks and two point conversions.

Sheridan is the largest school district by land in the state.

If they only drawn within the city limits then they would be 3A or 4A.

Right now they are outclassed in 6A.

while true then he loses the luster of being football Jesus to Arkansas high school football. Anyone with a brain knew he was winning because he had more talent at PA than other 4 and 5a schools at the time. Not because of any of his “genius” of never fricking punting like a retard

That was his MO at PA. If you have the talent you can run that gimmicky BS.

The money isn't flowing to Sheridan football like it was at PA

I was being facetious. Kelly is a legend in his own mind and a first class prick.

Why do you think his teams were getting 80 dumped in on them this year. The jackass was running the score up on people 10 years ago with private school selected kids an thinking he was just like Steve spurrier. No dipshit you just had half of the d1 players in the state on your team

Sheridan is just couple of defensive stops a gme from having a much better record.

Sheridan has the demographics to have a good offensive line but lacks speed at the offensive skill positions and secondary.

If we think about it, cheating coaches in Arkansas high schools are actually GOOD for HS football here.

Never thought I'd see myself type that...

I mean, would people rather see Bobby Bolding not cheat and Parkview be back to a crap program? Or would you rather see Parkview be as good as they've become again?

There's no way around it anyway. If there's a kid in Rogers that Fayetteville wants, I can pretend I'm renting my garage for $5 a month to his dad, and bam, he's eligible in Fayetteville.

Uphill battle fighting it, and winning teams draw 8th and 9th graders in to start working hard to become good players.

If we could just get the UA BOT to stop screwing up head coaching hires on The Hill, then that would sure be nice.

If Harding or Ouachita Baptist can get that Sheridan running back, they're going to have a Division II MVP

Agree. A good chunk of these kids start taking college classes early if they’re eligible to anyway during their senior year(whether they actually care, etc. - not speculating, but it’s just more practical and if you can start college early, whether an athlete or not, why not?)
