They wanted to play more games in the post season tourneys, you can't do that with double byes in the first one.

Not a Florida (or Georgia?) fan, dumbass. And I was cheering for Arkansas, certainly not Vandy. But Florida is the sec champion and Arkansas is the SECT champion. It’s really not that difficult to grasp.

Each conference gets to pick how the autobid is awarded. It’s meaningless to give it to the SEC champion because they’ll always be in the big dance.
Gives you another chance at sneaking a bubble team or team not in consideration at all (UGA ‘08).

Cal has this conference so jumbled that Georgia fans are giving Arkansas fans pointers on the basketball post-season and all of its intricacies.
