Who are we looking at for the senate, house, and Governor this year folks?

Dooley has been a dud it seems. No engagement online. I think Warnock in '28 will be easier to beat than Ossoff though.

Not in love with any of the governor candidates. The Jackson fellow is definitely spending the money. Don't know if I could vote for someone named Burt.

Anyone who thought Dooley was going to move the needle needs to get out of their bubble.

I’d be interested to hear opinions positive and negative on both Jackson and Jones. I’ve heard Jackson was a big Jeb Bush supporter. I don’t know much about Jones other than he’s the Lt. Governor and his daddy has a LOT of money.

Same. I think that is correct on Jackson. Cool story that he was in foster care and is seemingly self made.

I wonder if jones gets the trump endorsement if jackson joined the race sooner.

I was thinking the exact opposite. Ossoff seems like milk toast while Warnock has more of an aura to him. I would have liked to see him run in 26, but I'm guessing they're saving Brian Kemp to run against Warnock in 28.

I don't trust Jackson for a second. He has that skeevy-televangelist vibe.

He's so quick to tout how much he is "like Donald Trump", but he doesn't have Trump's endorsement. Jackson strikes me as a candidate who has been injected as a spoiler and will revert to form as a business-as-usual politician.

Jones was a perfectly acceptable candidate for Rick Jackson when he donated nearly $10k to Burt's campaign back in September. What changed?

Jackson is also going to have a hard time justifying his "deep conservative roots" when his healthcare company has actively recruited for Planned Parenthood for decades.

Very few politicians anywhere have been more loyal to Trump than Burt Jones. His dad was one of the first big donors. They were really tight with Mike Pence for a long time too. And then Jones was the one who to took Rudy Guiliani around the capitol when Rudy was doing his election fraud tour. Jones even volunteered to be an "alternate delegate," which damn near got him indicted.

If Trump hadn't have endorsed Jones, it would have been one of the dooshiest things imaginable lol.

Warnock is a much easier senator to knock off than Ossoff.

Warnock is on the Finance committee. Anyone in business watching those hearings knows that he is a bumbling idiot.

I doubt you are impressed by Warnock. He had a slick ad campaign to make himself seem relatable. But if you know his past, he is far from that too.

The problem with Ossoff is that he is on the Select Committee on Intelligence where he is the chairs the permanent subcommittee on investigations. Prior to congress, he was an investigative journalist. He is actually competent in congress. And his position has given him special visibility with regards to the US Postal Service mess in Georgia.
He has built a visible track record to campaign on.
I couldn't list a track record for 90% of the prior US senators from Georgia.

100% disagree.

Warnock has the silver tongue, preacher style. He's very good.

Also realize the vast majority of people don't follow politics very closely. They are headline people, and most headlines are fake news.

Kemp is done, or he'd be taking on Ossoff in this election. He would would win in a landslide.

He's not "waiting" for the Warnock election. He's retiring from the bullshite.

That's my read on it.

Agree to disagree.

He can't speak normally.
Look at him on a debate stage. Pathetic.
Look at him in a committee hearing.
Dumbass.

He has to be "published".
Telepromptor.
Or if given time, a half day to memorize a speech with no public interaction.

If the best the Republicans have is Derek Dooley, we're going to be a blue state in the Senate for a while.

I wish Kemp would just take it, but he's done.

That is my take as well.

He's on his horse and about ready to ride off into the sunset.

You are looking through a lens of competency, politically. The voters of Georgia, or everywhere, aren't as sharp as you. Or me. Or any other politico.

Independents aren't smart.

Jones and Jackson appear to be better candidates than Dooley.

But I don't know much about either of them.

Someone has been dumping a poop ton of money to besmirch Jones.
