1.Built to play any style
2. Do not beat themselves
3. Suffocating defense
4. Play hard
5. Golden is a Cignetti clone
6. Destroys any team that plays gimmicky offense (Bama, A&M, Georgia)

May not lose a game from here on out, and might win every game by 15+ until the tournament.

Their 3 point offense will be their achilles heel unless Boogie Fland improves

Florida has been pretty good at basketball for the last 30+ years. Golden also won a national championship before cignetti…

This is a dumb thread.

You forgot: Kentucky hates them both.

Florida basketball has a lot more history than IU football. You are an idiot

I see that understanding context is difficult. Obviously, I am talking about this year’s Florida team and this year’s Indiana team. Name calling behind a keyboard just shows someone has no substantive argument, and I highly doubt that anyone would call me or anyone an idiot in person. Golden is similar to Cignetti in how he speaks (“we’re gonna beat thrm anyway”, etc). Did not think that I would have to explain this, but here we are.

Or maybe Cignetti saw how Golden won a natty and is replicating him?

Appreciate the compliment sir. I think Golden is a really bright basketball mind, and he was a walk on player who grinded it out and has the competitor mentality. That said, I would be shocked if we didn't lose another game. I think Kentucky and/or Arkansas gets us and one other, maybe Texas or Ole Miss.

Sure, but you get my point. Cignetti likes to destroy Bama, like Golden.

Florida will get a test or two coming up, IMO, but they look primed for a possible repeat. Clearly, the Florida basketball program has been top notch since Donovan, while the IU program has been garbage until Cig. But I think it’s ok to compare the two programs under their CURRENT coaches.

I know UK fan hates IU, so it’s ok.

Whooped our arse tonight, and started knocking down threes. Defense is good. Dirty plays against Cyril though. Missed Wilkinson tonight. They are a better team than anyone in the SEC imo. Would love to knock them out in the SEC Tourney. But they will will be a good seed in NCAA, especially if they can get that 3 point shot going, and they did that last few games

Donovan -> White -> Golden is a pretty good comparison to Spurrier -> Zook -> Meyer, actually

Going to be tough to beat the teams near the top 5 this year. They're really, really good.

On the other hand we held our own against Zona when we had no identity yet so who knows.

You already know there's gonna be a tight game or three in the tournament. Last year, it was WCJ; who's gonna work that magic this year? I think Duke, Zona, Houston, Kansas can give Florida issues (and maybe Purdue). Obviously, the odds are against Florida repeating (<50%), but they are definitely in the conversation, as I thought that they would be from the beginning. Florida will be pushed to the limit at least once before tournament time, as unbeatable as they seem. I think Florida blows out Kentucky in Gainesville, but a close game in Lexington.

I just don't see UF repeating so not sure I see what you're going for with this comparison.

Florida has to do a home and home with Kentucky, so it will be difficult to win both.

I am NOT looking forward to playing Florida @Florida. Not scared, as I think we can play with anyone, but dang! Florida is looking very good right now. Auburn beat us by 20+ at home and Flordia could make it even uglier! That front court is best in the land. May turn on how Fland plays.
