Had to beat Virginia, LSU and Auburn to get to the finals.
Then beat tOSU for the Championship!

It's as if some people intentionally forget that Georgia has the SEC's last two national championships in football.

Of the SEC teams who have been in the conference in from 2020 to present, Georgia and Alabama are the only SEC teams to win a championship of any kind (conference or national) in football.
Fact.
Georgia: 3 SEC titles, 2 national titles (reigning SEC football champs)
Alabama: 3 SEC titles, 1 national title

What happened to the UGA men's program? Not even top 25 right now and have been down the last few years

It’s being rebuilt after Coach Diaz retired in 2024. Jamie Hunt, who was on both national title teams in 2007 and 2008 under Diaz, is the head coach now.
