A good friend and her husband and their two high schoolers are going to Bentonville during Spring break for a mini vacation and are asking for suggestions. Any ideas? I haven't lived in the area since 2009 and think I only went to Bentonville once while I was there.
She already mentioned Crystal Bridges and Frank Lloyd Wright home. Any other cool ideas? Thanks in advance.

Make reservations and eat at The Preachers Son
Pea Ridge Military Park isn't far away. Plenty of shops and restaurants downtown as well.

Kind of assuming that they mountain bike? If that's not one of the reasons they're going, they should definitely rent some ebikes and spend a day or two riding. They could also rent "analog" bikes, but the ebikes will likely make it more fun and remove some of the fitness barrier to entry.
Most of the bike shops rent ebikes. Mojo and Phat Tire both have dedicated "rental shops" that are separate from their actual bike shops, as it's become that big of a business in the area.
Tanyard Creek is a great little hiking area.
Climb Bentonville is a really good indoor climbing gym.
Thaden Field is worth checking out. There are some cool planes there and can eat at Louise while there.

I always thought the Walmart Museum was cool. Really touristy if they are into that.

Thank you, all. These are all very helpful.
These friends are driving up from DFW as they seem to like vacationing in Arkansas quite a bit even though they have no ties to the state (my friend is from N. LA like myself).

I moved here in 2018 but I am not plugged into any scene in Bentonville. I would suggest renting bikes and doing the trails. Outside of that, I don't really care for this place.

Visit Crystal Bridges, hit some of the trails, then explore Uptown Rogers and Downtown Fayetteville. It’s all just one big hodgepodge now. Lots of options everywhere and travel is easy outside of peak rush hours.

Bentonville has more of a midwest vibe than what I like. Downtown Springdale, (Yes, Springdale!) with the Odd Soul, Gaskins, Home Grown, and Casa Alejo has more of an Arkansas feel than the rest of NWA. Plus, you can ride the train. But I'm from LA.

Curious on your take on Bentonville? Is it the (lack of) authentic culture? The pleasantville vibe? The large number of transplants?
I'm heavy into the biking world, so I rub elbows with a lot of people who have moved to the area recently for biking. It's funny how high they are on Bentonville and how they seem to think it's the center of the universe. I LOVE what it's done for biking in our state with it sort of being the model that others have replicated, but I HATE how they bsically try to import culture by replicating businesses and importing cultural creators from other areas instead of just trying to cultivate authentic local culture at a grassroots level. It all comes off as a little fake to me because of that.

You don't like the yuppie midwest california yankee transplant vibe? Neither do I.

Springdale, Rogers and Lowell is full of fricking Mexican trash
There's some kind of trash everywhere you go. If you don't see it, it's you.

Don't forget Taqueria Don Guero down there.

Patrick's is really good. I like their rival Westside burger as well.
