Midzoo is a sorry non sec program
Auburn has become a national little brother who made the iron bowl insignificant and celebrates nepotism hires and new coaches who "almost" beat Alabama (also has a tiny stadium)
LSU is a ghetto shite show.. who gets there act together once every 15 years
I'd prolly give the edge to LSU.. but they have an ugly campus
They all hate each other and think they can talk.. but who is the tallest midget?

Well, I don’t expect anybody from Alabama to know about history, but let me tell you why Louisiana State University is called the fighting Tigers. First our university was built in 1860 as military school a year before the Civil War. Our first dean of students was general Sherman that when the war broke out, went back to the north and fought for them. During the Civil War, the confederate troops from Louisiana wore uniforms that were colored like Mardi Gras colors, purple and gold which we represent today with our school and they were named the fighting tigers because of how they fought. They were relentless. Everyone else that ises that name are just posers. Last, but not least we are the only university in the country that has a real live bengal Tiger on our campus.

Here are the 7 Division I universities with a “Tiger” nickname you previously asked about, ranked by when they adopted the Tigers nickname (earliest first). Dates refer to when the Tiger nickname was first used for the school’s athletic teams (not when the costumed mascot debuted):
1. Princeton University Tigers — ~1882
Princeton’s teams were first called the “Tigers” in the early 1880s when football players wore orange-and-black striped gear and sportswriters began using the name. ?
2. University of Missouri Tigers — ~1890
Soon after Missouri’s first football team formed in 1890, the athletic committee adopted the Tiger nickname, referencing Civil War defenders called the Missouri Tigers. ?
3. Auburn University Tigers — 1892
Auburn has used “Tigers” as its athletic nickname since it fielded its first football team in 1892. ?
4. Louisiana State University (LSU) Tigers — 1896
LSU first adopted its Tigers nickname during the fall 1896 football season, drawing on Civil War militia traditions. ?
5. Clemson University Tigers — 1896
Clemson’s teams were first called the Tigers in 1896, when the football program began and the name was brought from Auburn/Princeton influence. ?
6. University of the Pacific Tigers — ~1908/1914
Pacific’s teams began being called the Tigers around 1908 when rugby uniforms were striped like tiger markings, with the nickname in wide newspaper use by 1914. ?
7. Towson University Tigers — 1962
Towson officially adopted the Tigers nickname on November 20, 1962 after student athletes pushed for the name.

So Mizzou would win, except their namesake unit was on the union side of the conflict. So they get LAST claim in the SEC. I hate LSU more than Auburn, although a couple of you AU turds on this board are trying hard to even that up. Therefore Auburn gets first claim.
