2020 Alabama won in a narrow margin, just ahead of 2025 Indiana.

They decided the other night that it is 2025 Indiana, which rules out any Nick Saban coached team ever.

1925 Alabama, for teaching those yankees that they best shut their mouths.

I think it was more of a battle over which team isn't the GOAT.

2020 can get thrown out period. Granted Indiana basically got a double bye in the playoffs, 16-0 is the best of all time. I hate a Big 10 team getting the GOAT title, but it is what it is.

The board keeps bringing up LSU 2019.

Bama
Auburn
Florida
Aggy
Ole Miss

All these posters are talking about LSU AND Indiana.

Most people have 2026 Lsu. I thought I would say something as dumb as what I'm reading here!

I remember that team. Brown gave them a scare, but defense won out.

1899 sewanee "iron men"

quote:

With just 18 players, the team known as the "Iron Men" embarked on a ten-day, 2,500 mile train trip, where they played five games in six days. Sewanee had five shutout wins over Texas (in Austin), Texas A&M (in Houston), Tulane (in New Orleans), LSU (in Baton Rouge), and Ole Miss (in Memphis). Sportswriter Grantland Rice called the group "the most durable football team I ever saw." The road trip is recalled memorably with the Biblical allusion "...and on the seventh day they rested."
