Post your prediction on Pete Golding's future at Ole Miss for posterity's sake:
1. He brings multi-natties to Ole Miss and does as well as Kirby Smart has at Georgia (or better).
2. He gets Ole Miss to a NC Game (maybe wins one).
3. Gets Ole Miss close to the playoffs a time or two but never makes a deep run.
4. Does as good as Kiffin or a little better (may as well have stayed at Ole Miss). Gets fired at 5 years or longer.
5. An obvious bust and gets fired relatively quickly (less than 5 years).
Will be interesting to come back in a few years and see where you stood.
In the meantime, I'll tally as time permits.
ETA: Ambiguous predictions will go towards the middle.

Definition of "obsession":
quote:
n. a persistent thought, idea, image, or impulse that is experienced as intrusive or inappropriate and results in marked anxiety, distress, or discomfort. Obsessions are often described as ego-dystonic in that they are experienced as alien or inconsistent with one’s self and outside one’s control (though this is not necessarily the case in children). Common obsessions include repeated thoughts about contamination, a need to have things in a particular order or sequence, repeated doubts, aggressive or horrific impulses, and sexual imagery. Obsessions can be distinguished from excessive worries about everyday occurrences in that they are not concerned with real-life problems. The response to an obsession is often an effort to ignore or suppress the thought or impulse or to neutralize it by a compulsion. See obsessive-compulsive disorder. —obsessional adj. —obsessive adj.

Keeps Ole Miss at 9-10 wins maybe a year or 2 then slowly falls back to the pack with 7 maybe 8 wins seasons. lasts maybe 5 years unless the bottom falls out quicker

I wouldn’t bet against Pete. He’s proven he can coach at a high level, recruit at a high level, manage game week prep and distraction at a high level, hire ant an high level, and manage games at a high level. Can he manage offseason prep? That’s the lowest hurdle and he’s a Saban process guy, so probably so.

He will have a lot of PRESSURE on him next year. Better keep the SIP moving, and not SIPPING on his alcoholic beverages...

He'll be replaced in 3 years by Eli Manning- who'll then be replaced in another 3 years by a yet to be named HC....This will cause a massive rift between the Manning family and Ole Miss; the Mannings will be increasingly seen attending LSU games in their newly acquired luxury suite.
Hell, I have no idea. Lane didn't leave the cupboards completely bare there, so they should be okay.

Probably win 7-8 a year with runs at the playoffs when the stars align and we have experience every 4-5 years at best.
But this is a response thread, so I’m unsure of why I’m taking it seriously.

What if I don’t care at all about Golding’s future at Ole Miss? I’m not sure why the future of another program’s coach matters to me.
