Both great teams in their own right. No need to compare as much different eras even though only 6 years apart.

Can’t realistically compare them tbh

Yep, teams are diluted now by the portal and dont have the depth they once did.

Oh look, OP sucking LSU fan's dicks again by comparing the best team ever to a good 2019 LSU team.

Not even close. IU's story, turnaround, and domination with the teams they beat, this is not a discussion. 2025 IU >>>>>> 2019 LSU.

I just wish Mendoza would stick around another year to get that Kelley MBA. Think he takes online classes in the NFL or was Haas good enough?

Story and turnaround have nothing to do with being the best team.

2019 LSU is the only team to never trail a game in the 4th quarter & only trailed a total of 15m on the season.

IU trailed late this year to Iowa & Penn State.

Mendoza may be the only one from this team to play on Sundays.

Pretty sure the OP was talking about not comparing them.

Indiana way better since they don’t have a ton of draft picks

No. Just no. 2019 LSU is still the best team of all time, they were more dominant and the stats, accolades, and scores back that up. They put up more points against comparable ranked defenses, once they got healthy the defense played great see A&M, UGA, Clemson, and OU games. Oh and they did it all whenever teams where absolutely stacked and not whenever there is so much parity that the #10 team (who arguably shouldnt have even gotten in) is playing them in the national championship game with 2 losses already and without appearing in their conference championship game.

Thats not how that works? They just struggled with a Miami team who came in with two losses and didnt even participate in their conference championship. Being drafted also implies youre very good regardless of your measurables and such...

2019 LSU was just stacked. Expected to win with that much talent. No coaching for sure

Chase, Moss, Jefferson, Queen, CEH, TDP, Marshall Jr, Racey McMath, Trey Palmer, Stephen Sullivan, Anthony Bradford, Austin Deculus, Breiden Fehoko, Rashard Lawrence, Damone Clark, Micah Baskerville, Chaisson, Jacob Phillips, Kristian Fulton, Stingley, TK McClendon, Siaka Ika, Tory Carter, Neil Farrell Jr, Cordale Flott, Damien Lewis, Tyler Shelvin, JaCoby Stevens, Jay Ward, Kary Vincent Jr, Cade York, Cushenberry III, Blake Ferguson, and Ed Ingram. All guys that played in the NFL and most every single one of them was drafted too. Weak argument.

Like I said. Not really impressive if you think about it. Even Orgeron could win with that. Oh wait, he did …

Oh so Ed O didn't win Coach of the year and Joe Brady didnt win assistant coach of the year and Dave Aranda wasn't nominated for the Broyles award as well? And not to mention that LSUs o-line won the Joe Moore award and as evidenced by last season and essentially everywhere that it o-line talent doesnt matter if you arent coached well. Weak argument my guy weak argument.

Burrow took a cheap shot to the midsection in the first half by Skalski which probably broke his ribs and still threw 2 more TD in the second half and won the game going away.
