High school recruiting classes are largely a non factor these days because they transfer by their sophomore or junior season.

alabama in particular has lost a lot more experienced talent out of the portal than they are bringing in. Auburn is in the same boat.

You do have the lowest average in the top ten.

Do high school kids not get NIL deals?

This ranking is a combination of the two if I were relying solely on HS rankings, Alabama would be second.

LSU has near 40 portal commits. Alabama has half of that and a higher average.

High school recruiting is cool and all but think about all the wasted resources when the kid transfers out in a year or two

It’s be pretty worrisome for Bama if they had the half the number of commits and the same average wouldn’t you think? LSU is having to fill in depth pieces and legit starting caliber players. Hence the lower average.

Alabama is #18 with 15 commits and an average of 88.23
LSU is #1 with 38 commits and an average of 88.09

What are you talking about? Again, quality over quantity

Out of the schools listed, which one just hired a new coach?

The majority of Alabama's portal pickups have been specialists and depth pieces, too.

I mean, how high are the recruiting services ranking kickers, punters and long snappers?

That's a sixth of Alabama's additions so far.

You would rather use the service that has LSU almost outside of the top ten because it has Alabama ranked lower

We went from 85 scholarships to 105. There is a reason the numbers of commits are up. Add the context.
