Why did Austin Simmons leave Ole Miss?

He would’ve been their starter next year. Can’t believe he passed up a chance to start for an elite program and elite head coach under the tutelage of an offensive guru like Joe Judge.

Because they’re broken. Great kid. Love his attitude. But he hasn’t shown that he can handle the pressure of being QB1 and that was against the easiest part of our schedule.
He has incredible arm talent though. Just alarming that after two seasons of Kiffin, Weiss, and Judge that he still struggled so much in games.

Seems like he had a college degree at age 18. I hope he transferred because he got accepted into a PhD program.

Honestly I’m surprised he didn’t go down to Miami to be closer to home. Missouri was a bit of a surprise.

Don't think he wanted to wait around to see if Trinidad gets the waiver. His arm talent is elite and I think he and his dad thought he'd be going to the draft this year. He wants to be somewhere that he will start.
Hate we never got to see a full season of him as our QB but he'll do well for Missouri.

LSU fan here. Trinadad will get the waiver from the Mississippi Court system approved

Well... the comment was made that Simmons would be 3rd string, BEHIND Chambliss and Deuce. To me, than means it doesn't matter how many QBs you have on the roster.
But if you have Deuce and the reality is Chambliss doesn't get another year, how would Simmons be 3rd. You see, that's my point.... saying he would be 3rd yet knowing your top 2 is really down to 1, just doesn't make sense.
