I do like the HC hire, though.

No they haven’t

The message is clear though now from Indiana. All you really need is a good coach and staff and buy in to some degree from the university to compete anywhere now. No one else really has much excuse to be really shite every year.

Kentucky has a shite load of money and fan support. If they ever get serious about winning, they will. Football has always just been a secondary sport up there.

Sounds like an argument that college football is a better product now.

I guess it depends what you want college football to be. I don’t think it’s a better product. I don’t care that they get paid or rev share but I detest unrestricted free agency every season.

Same. That's why they should get 1 free transfer with immediate eligibility. After the 1 transfer, make them sit a year like we used to.

Look at Indiana. They have more heart than most teams did before this new era. The product is getting better. A lot of fans of the hyper successful schools hate it because its not under the table anymore.

Indiana this year is an insanely cool story and one of the up shots of the current status quo. They will not be able to sustain it this way though they will have to recruit better than they do. Either way I love what they did this year. It’s not cool enough to offset the annoyance of unrestricted free agency every off season. That’s going to be taken off the table soon though I think, either through extremely strict contract enforcement or collective bargaining
