So Demond was wifey and Leavitt was the back up plan

Lane went all in on Demond, which got leaked and made Leavitt storm off
Days later, after the Demond thing blew up, Lane flies out to Knoxville begging Leavitt to come to LSU

Lane had a preexisting relationship with Demond and didn’t think he was available and Leavitt was still looking around going on visits. Thats all that happened.

While I was a little more excited about Williams, I believe that Lane and staff had Leavitt on top the entire time.

Less than a year ago, Austin Simmons was the chosen one because of one drive in one game in the 2024 season.
Ole Miss fans denigrating LSU signing Leavitt was the most predictable thing ever on this board. LSU could have signed Jesus Christ out of the portal and it would have received the same response.
