Not a troll:There is a story going around that CAA is upset with the whole Lane experience

Supposedly CAA sold LSU on Lane ‘bringing the roster’ with him. Look at Iowa State and Penn State, their coaches left and dragged the best players to the new gigs, now Va Tech and Penn State are sitting pretty. So LSU fully expected the same thing when they hired Lane. Reality? From what I heard the only guy even thinking about LSU right now is Winnie Watkins, Caden Lee’s backup at WR. CAA pitched a mass exodus, boosters ponied up to make Lane the highest-paid coach without a single championship as a head coach, and so far the return on that investment is basically nonexistent.

Congrats on a great season. Hope your team doesn’t lose to Miami because your clown college isn’t getting this close to a championship again for another 50 years.

1. Getting half Iowa St.’s roster is not “sitting pretty”

This tracks.
Lsu favs were convinced Lane was bringing the entire roster.
Then they were convinced it was just the core offense.
Then it was Ole Miss didn’t matter and they were going to clean up in the portal.
Now it’s well next year is a rebuilding year! Kelly left us with the worst roster in football!
Ignoring six months ago they were crowing about having the most expensive roster and coaching staff in all of football.
