They may have had the most talented and experienced sec roster returning next year.
Why would you wait that long, just to blow it up right before the year that you have the best shot.
Not to mention the schedule next year is light years easier than what they've had to play the last few years, which was the toughest schedule in the country. Now with all the transfers, they are looking like another bottom of the sec team. AD is an idiot

The players aren’t that stupid. They saw the product on the field was not going to get any better and would have bolted even if BN stayed. NILis the way of the world these days

Coach Sligblade lost to USF @ home. Wtf makes you think he could just magically learn how to call plays, manage the game, or just be mediocre? He's a terrible head coach.

Yes he is..but not for not holding out this year ....should have fired him the season before, very clearly he sucked no reason to keep him. We fired him on a very bad year because our AD sucks.

Florida is far from perfect in how we run our athletics program, but we won't be asking any advice from LSU, thanks.

I agree. We should have held on to him until the end of the season. But we had little nancies like that Popeye chronic jagoff guy Caw whining and crying nonstop.
He screwed our program and set it back an additional two or three years. I doubt he's actually a Florida fan. I mean he's already whining about the new coach and calling for HIM to be fired.

To me its not about wins or losses at that point. Its about attracting a new quality coach. Firing him midseason did not give potential candidates the confidence that they would be given a proper chance to turn things around.
We should have held onto him and fired him at the end of the season.

On one hand yeah. On the other, a rebuild at UF shouldn’t take that long in this era.
